Best division in the NFL?

Featured Replies

Which division is the toughest?

AFC North-Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland

NFC East-Dallas, Washington, Philadelphia, NY Giants

NFC South-New Orleans, Carolina, Atlanta, Tampa Bay

AFC West-Oakland, Kansas City, Denver, San Diego

AFC East-New England, NY Jets, Buffalo, Miami

Disqualified from consideration:

NFC West

AFC South

NFC North

Is this a fair start? Do any of the divisions I have disqualified have a case at being the best division? Which division is the best?

I immediately want to say NFC East but I don't think any of those other teams are better than Dallas. At the same time from top to bottom those are four pretty tough teams that would likely be a problem in the playoffs.

AFC West has my attention also as they all seem to be doing well in the same vein as the NFC East. Oakland is doing fantastic but do we really think they are good enough to make a deep run in the playoffs?

I'm hoping the NFC East and AFC West can get 2 Wild Card teams apiece. Division winners everywhere else. Is that possible? The playoff structure is foggy to me right now.

That is possible. In the past I would say AFC north because the AFC North had produced at least 2 teams each year for like 12 Years in a row or something. However this year it is down some. It is either the AFC west of the NFc east.

I'd love to see Oakland, KC and Denver in the AFC playoffs and Dallas, Washington and NY Giants in the NFC playoffs.

Remember where that 1 "L" for Big D came from.

2 best without a doubt is the AFC West and the NFC East while I think the Cowboys is the best team I think top to bottom this year the AFC is a little better right now, but an argument could be made either way.imo

AFC West

NFC East

AFC East

NFC South

AFC North should be disqualified as well. 2 average teams, 1 bad team, and the Browns.

Agreed. I will say this if that average teams ends up being Pittsburgh who makes it to the playoffs and not Baltimore. That average Pittsburgh team is dangerous to any other team that makes the playoffs though. Plus in terms of New England, Pittsburgh is due to beat them eventually lol.

I actually like the NFC East a little better for 1 reason: quarterbacks. AFC West: Carr, Smith, Siemian, Rivers. NFC East: Manning, Cousins, Prescott, Wentz. It's close but I'll go NFC East.

It's amazing though, just a few years ago it was the NFC West and AFC North. Now both of those divisions are unqualified for consideration this year.

I'll take the NFC East over the AFC West.
