Wow! Plain and simple wow!

Even if this is a joke, which I pray it is, that is ridiculous. I can't imagine a mother for one would kick her child out for the way he voted in a mock election for one, and then be retarded enough to record it. I'm amazed.

So, a question:

 

Is this a form of child abuse? Yes or no?

I bet he won't do that again.

I bet that kid was traumatized and will effect him later in life.

 

Someone should follow his life and see what he turns out to be or do.

 

Trump should invite him to the White House.

I wonder if that's how you are taught to be racist?

 

Good life lesson for the little fellow. Like you said earlier, he probably will vote differently in his next school election.

This thread is loaded with irony.

I finally watched this video...I can't believe someone can be like that, being that cruel to your own child.

 

I'd take this little fellow in tonight and keep him. Even if this had been reversed and he had voted for HRC and his mom treated him like that, I'd take him in.

 

I'd can't believe that the mom was so sure what she did was right that she recorded it and then posted it as if she was proud of her behavior.

This could be compiled into a parenting book "How not to Raise a Child". Children really do believe the things parents tell them, they are so sure parents know everything. This nearly had me in tears for this child. Yes, it was child abuse. How can any Mother, who has carried that child beneath her heart for nine months, torture him? How do you undo the trauma this caused just because he practiced his civic duty and voted in a mock election at school? I'm just glad his school was responsible and was using it as a teaching moment. Yet, how is it this mother reacted the same way so many young people have? By marching peacefully or as protestors who are rioting and destroying property (the mother's reaction with shouting and disgust).

I feel like the luckiest kid in the world. My parents were firm with their respect of the secret ballot that during my entire childhood I had no idea what party they were registered with, or even who they had ever voted for.

 

It was very well understood by my 5 siblings and me that my parents could not be made to budge when asked who they had voted for, but we were aware that Mom was free to vote however she saw fit as Dad would make sure that we were aware of this.

 

Dad was born 1919, Mom 1929 and were basically conservative Catholics.

 

When I turned 18 and was about to register I went to my Dad to ask him about the process. It was then he revealed to me how he and my Mother were registered, and added that it was entirely up to me to decide for myself how I would register.

 

I was raised with zero political indoctrination while growing up. Nothing to confuse me from my natural instincts about what is important to me or how I view things. I no doubt lean to the left but I'm essentially a moderate and I'm completely certain it is a result of them having never brainwashed me to be extreme one way or another.

 

I've seen families pound it into their kids and it completely shows with them in their adulthood even when it doesn't fit their personality. With some people you can just sorta guess within a short period by their character which way you think they lean, but with some it's a complete surprise, and then you come to find the rational for it is because of their upbringing.

 

I realize that being tight lipped for many with their kids seems almost impossible, and some might not even think that they should be, but I'm completely thankful to my parents that that's how they saw fit to raise me. I believe it to be incredibly wise.

 

The woman in the video is beyond ridiculous, but with that said harmful mental brainwashing can come on many different levels and degrees of severity.
