Sometimes it is that simple, it's not like his opponent was a person of high virtue and he was selected over her anyway. She was as flawed as any candidate in recent history. Trump did speak of bringing jobs back and if some voted for that, then why not.

 

I have a feeling that no matter what is said, you'll never get your head wrapped around this election. As you probably thought there was absolutely no way that you and 538 could be wrong and that she would have it wrapped up by 10:00p.m.

 

I didn't understand the appeal of Bernie Sanders but his supporters were as fervent as any, I would have struggled to understand how a Socialist could have been elected...it would have never made sense to me. Just as Trump winning makes no sense to you.

I agree with your assessment of what many have said we want in a president and no he doesn't meet those ideals. Those perferred traits weren't available in either candidate. So many just chose Trump over Clinton.

 

It's like if I go to Baskin Robbins and want Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream, but they are out. So I have to choose between Rocky Road and Chocolate Almond. Neither are what I want, but I choose Rocky Road because I hate almonds!
