Is there any case a woman should get an abortion?

 

As much as I'm against abortion, yes I think there are a few instances where I would not complain about it.

On thread topic, I hear this one all the time from women and men:

 

"A woman could never be president because they are too moody."

 

What POTUS said is out there.

I'd think about arguing that if her life was in danger if she went through labor and it was the only choice.

You'll never see me on TV fighting for the right for a person to have an abortion. You'll never see me on TV fighting for an end to all abortions. As of today women can legally get an abortion. I support that right that they have even though I do not agree with the act of getting an abortion.

Most all Democrats that I know, including myself ,are not lovers of abortion, but believe strongly in a woman being able to make that choice, a choice which she is legally entitled to make. I can't tell you how many times I have heard myself and those like me labeled a "baby killer" by evangelicals and those on the hard right. I sense that you are as fed up as I am with that label. Democrats are not pro-abortion. We are pro- letting a woman make that very personal decision.

Poll ran last year shows our society is largely "baby killers" now. Looks like the trend will continue.

I'm the same way. When I was younger, I voted democrat no matter what. As I've gotten older and wiser, I vote for the best candidate.

 

Lots of people, though many don't even recognize it within themselves or will admit it are raised in families where party affiliation is indoctrinated in them not much differently than religion is. They become devout Democrats or Republicans with no real consideration to even think of reconsidering their stance. In Wireman's case I'll venture to guess that he identified with being a Democrat years ago because his parents are, however since it doesn't really match his true nature he is now recognizing within himself that he is more inclined to being closer to being a Republican type. He not having the true nature of a ordinary typical Democrat is obvious to many Democrats here, and though he probably for years called himself such for lack of much consideration outside of how he was raised, he is likely now recognizing that his nature is more aligned with being Republican, but it still hasn't yet registered in him that by nature he never was a true Democrat to begin no matter how much it was instilled in him growing up. Again, just a guess.
