And for those of you wondering about the Eastern Kentucky Regional Contest results....I will have them posted later on tonight. The computer that I am on doesn't have the Excel sheet that I use for tallying the results.

If I'm not mistaken, only two or three people picked Ashland to win so those folks will most likely be on top of the leaderboard.

Great game, I enjoyed listening to it.

You should have spent the money, and gone to the game.

If I had to pay to go to a game today I definitely would not have chosen this game to go to. I would have stayed right up here in Northern Kentucky and traveled the few miles from NKU to Highlands HS and watched Elder defeat Highlands.

Great game, I enjoyed listening to it.

Same here Watusi. :thumb:

Was there interesting going on in Santa Barbara?

Great Win For The Tomcats!!

There is no crow eating here frances. I picked Ashland by 2, pretty close. Congrats to Ashland's Tomcats!! I listened to this game and it was a great one. Ashland overcame turning the football over 5 times to Russell. The Thomas kid had a heck of a game. IMO Clark for Russell did nothing to discredit his status as one aof the best football players in the state, he was very good as always. When you turn the ball over 5 times and still win - that is impressive. Usually when a team does that against anyone, let alone a very good team like Russell that team is beat. Sounded like the Ashland kids just "refused to lose". Ashland was the best team tonight. Congrats to both teams for playing a 3 ot marathon and giving it your all. Russell, you have nothing to be ashamed of, you were beaten by a very good football team. Good luck to you the rest of the year. Way to go Tomcats - Great win!!

What happened at the end of the game?

I was listening to Dickie and the sound just went out on the internet. The link that was provided for the Russell radio station took me to a Santa Barbara, California radio station so I was forced to listen to the God-awful Dickie call the game.

I don't like listening to him generally either, but all in all I thought he wasn't as bad as usual. I actually didn't want to throw up.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! Great win for the Tomcats!!! Whats the over/under on how fast it takes GIAT to get on here????

Me, Watusi, and Morehead were right there listening to it. Sounds to me like Russell played a pretty good game and still lost.

The question is, and I'm sorry if this is too early. How do we gage a hard fought and "well played" overtime victory by Ashland v. Russell, against the hard faught and 6 fumble Belfry game?

Kind of the same thing I am thinking CFJ, does this show that Belfry is still on the same playing field??

The states longest winning streak of 13 is over!

I understand the urge, but I would have thought a gentile southern lady such as yourself would have resisted it when tempted to bring up all the prediction thread comments, Ms Bavier. Not very graceful, IMO.

I only bring up one or two, for the sake of humility (theirs, not mine).

:fire: Also, wonder what the fallout will be in regards to the schedule change and how that affected Russell.:fire:

Also, where has that Matt Thomas been??????????

Before anyone reads too much into my last post. All I am saying is this: Russell played a very good/fundamentally sound game and lost to a tuff Ashland team. Belfry played sloppy and turned the ball over all night long and lost in OT as well.

This game IMO says one thing. Belfry v. Russell 06 is gonna be a BATTLE!
