I assume you have seen both teams play stating that lopsided of victory. What is it that makes you think that these teams are not close, especially since Highlands was only 9 point win for Scott Co and CovCath beat Highlands by more than 30? U may be right, but judging by common opponent, the colonels should be able to hang around. To say it won't be close unless Scott Co rests their starters is a bold statement.

I don't think this will be close. I think the final score is Scott County by 3 scores unless they decide to rest people for the playoffs.

Elder needs Scott County to win on Friday to help them get in the playoffs.

I have seen both. I feel Scott County has more athletes and team speed. Their added diversity in the passing game keeps you from selling out against the run. I think that will be the difference. I feel like Cov Cath is fairly predictable on O and Scott County should be able to handle them. Again, those are just my opinions.

 

I don't put too much stock in scores. You could look at the Colerain and Lafayette scores instead of the Highlands score and see things differently.

Scott Co runs the ball 80% of the time and Covcath runs 50% of the time. Scott Co has a great run game, but knowing they will run 80% of the time is more predictable than 50% of the time. However, I do agree with u about score comparison. That is not always reliable. Highlands did score more points against Scott County than most other teams they played this year. So, for that reason, I think Covcath can hang with them. Maybe I am wrong, but we shall see

I'd like to see Cov Cath win, but I think Scott County does. I think it will be close.

My heart likes Cov. Cath. My brain says Scott County.

If Covcath doesn't win this week, I do think one of the 6A boys up here will beat them. Ryle and SK are very good and Conner and Cooper must be taken seriously. 6A in NKY is good

Just too much quickness, deception, and a proven ability to sustain long drives. Three man front will just not be stout enough against Scott's ground game. Wish it wasn't so, but that's what I foresee.

Close but no cigar. Elder is in the playoffs, no doubt about that. Whether or not Scott wins can only possibly impact their seeding.

I think Covington Catholic wins this game. Scott County doesn't have much of a defense and is one dimensional on offense. Highlands had them on the ropes in the 4th qtr with the lead and the ball and fumbled twice. And we all know Highlands isn't considered a good team.

This game comes down to how well the Colonels handle SC's run game. CovCath really struggled defending the run against Columbus DeSales. We will see how much they have improved from that game, but I think SC's attack will be too much.

CovCath by a field goal imo. Scott County battled Highlands while CCH rolled against them. Doesn't mean that CCH is better because of that. Im just giving a prediction based off my limited knowledge. Scott County also kept up with Elder though. Idk. Tough call

Cov Cath is one of the top 3 teams in NKY and some will argue that only Ryle has a better offense.
