October 2, 201610 yr UC blown out at home, a week after surviving a scare from a winless Miami of Ohio team. UC reached it's peak under Tommy a few years ago, were seeing the downfall now. A crappy conference will probably allow them to bowl but is that enough at this point?
October 2, 201610 yr @gametime Tommy on the hot seat? Wouldn't say hot, but it is certainly warming up. I think tonight was the breaking point for a large majority of the fan base. Hard to come back once it reaches that point...
October 2, 201610 yr No. Call Kerry Coombs as soon as the season ends. Right. Hire a guy that can't even retain a job as a position coach and has consistently been demoted year after year. Brilliant!!!
October 2, 201610 yr Nice halftime adjustments by Coach Woodie and the defensive staff. UC was gashing USF on the ground in the 1st half and they put a stop to it. Next they start dialing up blitzes on 3rd down and long. UC starts turning it over. Is it just me, or do Kiel and Tuberville completely dislike each other. Saw some rather heated exchanges between them after Gunner entered the game.
October 2, 201610 yr Right. Hire a guy that can't even retain a job as a position coach and has consistently been demoted year after year. Brilliant!!! Hey...all my ideas can't be good ones! I know you probably can't answer, but I'll ask anyway: Who would be on top of your list?
October 2, 201610 yr - The 1st half UC had 110 yards rushing on 20 carries. The 2nd half 16 carries for 20 yards. - Marlon Mack's TD run in the 4th quarter gave him enough career yardage to become USF's all time leading rusher (2,755 yards). For the game he had 118 yards on 20 carries. - Quinton Flowers had 196 yards passing (16-26-0) and 74 yards rushing (13 carries) for 270 total yards. - Total offense: USF 454 (226 rushing 228 passing), Cincinnati 393 (130 rushing 263 passing)

October 2, 201610 yr I've always been a supporter of TT but last night was the breaking point for me. I will still go to games and support the program but a change definitely needs to be made at the end of this season. Tuberville brings no excitement and the play calling is terrible considering all I heard about Taylor being a great hire to replace Gran. And the whole Gunner situation is one that I will never understand. You've got a kid who was voted captain by the PLAYERS and threw 50 TD's in one season yet sits the bench. I don't blame him one bit for calling TT out last night for not going for it on 4th down down 18 and electing to go for a long fg with a back up kicker who can barely make a PAT.
October 3, 201610 yr Author UC doesn't appear to be comfortable playing Gunner. As I've said all year, you don't want to hear from him in 5 years if life isn't going as planned for him. Such a risk to play him.

Such a risk to play him. GT might know more on the situation but I've heard him calling TT out last season combined with his off the field issues that forced him to miss the bowl game has a lot to do with why we haven't seen him at all this year. Maybe TT doesn't trust him but I think TT is close to losing this team if he hasn't already.
October 3, 201610 yr Author UC season tix holders in the office today said they rather have the 3-4 seasons of a rising star coach, than a lame duck like TT.
