Tough week for Cov Cath. Coach Brown who runs the Defensive lost his mother to Breast Cancer. Funeral was today. The mass was packed. The players from Cov Cath gave up their seats as the church kept filling up. The most impressive part was no coach said anything to them. That was better then anything that the Colonial Crazies has ever done. Great Job.

Cooper, SK, Campbell, McNick, Anderson, Badin, etc etc etc. In other words, plenty of challenging teams in the area to play. And no, I didn't check records - just off the top of my head programs that are either good today or have been good historically. Never once have I said cupcakes or powder puffs. Moreover, they need to beat Highlands before they worry about Bowling Green. You're perception is incorrect. But again, thanks for the lesson.

Colonel defenders will be seeing Alonzo Booth in their nightmares. In my 20+ years of watching high school football I've never seen a kid that big move like he did. Made nice cuts in traffic and could flat out burn when he got into open space. Size and power and was something to see.

Powder puffs? Cupcakes? What's the difference? Are you really gonna knit pick that much? My rationale is not whack. They need to focus on more immediate goals, such as winning the district and region. I'm well aware of what the goal is ultimately. And yes, I know you don't have to win the district to win state. The same could be said for Darrick Barnes tonight versus Beechwood. Barnes is the only back this year that ran away from Beechwood's defense and the kid weighs about 240. Barnes did what McGuiness could not versus Beechwood.

CovCath had just recovered a DeSales fumble on the Stallion 32 yard line with about 6 seconds to go. Shot gun formation, Mayer rolls to his left. Coldiron lined up as the right end and ran across the field to the middle of the end zone on the left side. Ball was overthrown and DeSales intercepted in the back of the end zone. DeSales brings it out to the middle of the field (moving to the right) and cuts back to the left at about the 25 yard line. Only player who had a chance to tackle him was Mayer (who got close on the sideline but couldn't tackle him/push him out). After that it was clear sailing down the sideline.

I will say this for DeSales, their wide receivers really stayed on their blocks which extended plays and allowed for more yardage. They are a well coached team.
