SnottieDrippen
I'm with you on 2 of 3. I know it hurts, but "ain't" has been an accepted part of the lexicon for decades and has been in the dictionary as a legit word for nearly that long. Yet Sojourner Truth and T.I. are the only two humans to ever use it correctly.
mcpapa
My kids call me the grammar Nazi because this drives me NUTS! The worst offenses: It don't.... Ain't We wasn't.... And my biggest. ME IS NOT THE SUBJECT OF A SENTENCE! I hear this more and more from the younger generation.
Science Friction
Folks who use "ax" or "ast" for the word "ask". I'm not crazy about that either. I actually started a topic about that once because I was curious as to why some people use the word "ax." I never received any answers. The thread was "axed." I still don't really know why the word is used but I think it may be a cultural thing.
Science Friction
Poetic license. Just doesn't work as well with "doesn't." Good song , though.
Beechwoodfan
Haha! The Best of Bread is on my playlist. Love that song, but I correct David Gates in my head every time I hear it!

Gates wrote some super love songs back in the seventies.
