Who wins? Prediction of score?

The Big Red will push it to 11 straight over PT...and it just might be by a healthy margin.

I've seen both teams play already this year. I can't say this is one of the better Tilghman teams I've seen. They have some playmakers but don't think they have enough to get past The Cardinals and especially when we are at home.

 

We have beat them 10 years in a row now and I'm pretty confident to say this will make 11. It wouldn't surprise me if we see a running clock in this one. Not saying it will happen but again, it wouldn't surprise me.

Mayfield 48- Tilghman 10

This is the rival of all rival games in WKY and one the oldest and best known in the state and over the years many strange things have happened so never say never when it comes to the Red and Blue. Strangely what appears to be the clear favorite has often not won and I expect a tussle but in the end I think the Cards make it 11 straight

Mayfield is the team to beat in W KY. This rivalry has gone on forever & more than none has been a competitive game regardless of their respective records coming in. PT is better than what they showed against McCracken. Mayfield is Mayfield. Mayfield will run away with this one & could easily put a running clock on the Tornado. It'll be close for the 1st qtr. But Mayfield will take advantage of mistakes by PT & win by 30+.

The Cardinals should fly away as far as they want in this, can't see it being close.

I highly doubt this will be a running clock game.

This game is unlike any other MF plays for some crazy reason. Throw out the records! The favorite over the years has often failed. I can't fathom a running clock and will be just pleased to come out with a W

Which Paducah Tilghman team shows up?

 

The one that got their doors blown off against McCracken County or the one that really could have beaten a good Central Hardin team?

 

Will be interesting for sure. I would predict closer to the Central Hardin game. With so much change occurring in the off season for the Tornados it was a lot to ask to come out opening game and beat a very good experienced McCracken County on the road.

A couple things are for sure:

 

1. This will be the 103rd meeting of the 2 deep WKY teams

 

2. PT has a new kicker :ohbrother:

I believe much like the McCracken game 2 weeks ago....MF will win by as much as they want. I could be wrong and I hope it's a tight game with MF coming out ahead...but I don't see it being close at all.

Tilghman will break out a couple of trick plays and get a little momentum going early, but Mayfield will settle in after a quarter and take care of business, per the usual. 42 to 13
