Roberts out for Ashland?

I heard he got injured during the Jackson scrimmage. They said he hasn't practiced since then. I didn't see him working out at Meet the Cats last night. He was just hanging around the coaches. I hope they are just resting him so he can play tonight. If not, it could be a big blow.

Does anyone know if the khsaa has rules set in place for high heat indexes, I assume they do? Just took a glance at weather underground and the weather station in South Ashland is reporting a temp of 95 and a 104 degree heat index. Just curious if this one will start on time or be delayed a half hour or so.

I waited until the last minute to give a prediction. After learning that Roberts will not play and a few other cat's are banged up, I gotta go with Raceland in this one. Obviously my heart is with the Tomcats, but this is going to be a tough one to win with such a young team that is already battling injuries, before even playing a regular season game! The heat will also have a factor in this one in regards to conditioning and whether Ashland follows through with their platoon system. If the platoon system works out, Ashland could get the win as anyone that plays both ways in this heat is going to be exhausted in the second half.

100 and above I believe they can't participate at all,

 

In the nineties there's mandatory water breaks but I can't remember how frequent or how long they are.

Thanks @RaiderPride5. I thought I remembered hearing something about 100 degrees. Looks like the game should start on time, temp has dropped to 93 and the heat index is 101 now.
