First off, let me say that I am very happy for this day to finally arrive. It's been too long. Friday night Putnam Stadium will be pack with two great fan-bases in attendance. This should be a good game. Saying that, I saw some film of the West Carter game today. I think that Raceland's definitive front might give Ashland's line some problems. It seemed that they were in West's backfield all night. Of course I will be picking my Cats, but this game could get out of hand if Ashland doesn't take care of the ball and the line doesn't allow the skill players to do what they do. It seems Ashland's secondary is coming along. The way Raceland threw the ball is going to be a good test for our defensive backfield. Go Cats!!!

As for the highlighted sentence, I feel the same ....only if Raceland doesn't take care of the football.

There is so much sandbagging on this thread, I thought I had gone to the beach!

Right now neither team is where they hope to be. Which is good and one of the many reasons that I love this match up each year. It almost always is a tell of how far we can expect to go in the post season. I think we are a completely different team though, that Ashland is used to seeing. Even if the new guys upfront are struggling at times, they are still doing enough to let Isaac, Jerome and Carmen rest for a series here and there. Fresh lets upfront is huge against a team 4x your size in numbers. Tyus is playing at a high level at DE as well. Which is crucial for us against Ashland, his combination of size, strength and atheleticism gives us an advantage on the edge, imo. Our conditioning has really impressed me. We seemed to get stronger as the game went on last week. But make no mistake, Ashland will be in good shape too and it always seems like the hottest day of the year falls on the day of this match up. Cant wait for friday.

Question for the Kitty Cat faithful. Is brown back at Ashland? If so, when is he eligible?

That's classified information.

I feel the same about this one as I did about the first game, it would be a different game later in the season but either way I think the Rams will have a special team this year and they get to leave Putnam with a victory.

Raceland needs to find that killer instinct and a way to keep their foot on the accelerator. If that happens, the Rams can be good. If not, Aaron Snyder will be correct, 7-3 and a second place finish in the District.

He is back, million dollar question is when he can play. Ask 3 different players all said the first game. Ask 3 adults and they have all different answers. Don't think he plays Friday but we shall see.

I bet money he plays since it's Raceland. Seems like players magically become eligible when the next game is against Raceland. Heck a few years back the RAMS played against the same player (who shall remain nameless) twice in the same year on two different teams.

Regardless of whether he plays or not, it should be an exciting game.

Monday's here Rams ... time to pick up that lunch box and get to work. A very tough job is ahead of you on Friday night, your coaches will no doubt be putting in a good game plan, its up to you to learn it inside and out and Execute this Friday to collect, cash in that pay check (a W).

D.Y.J. !

I remember that :lol2: I was looking for him to show up the next week in our opponets uni.

OMGsh! He led 2 teams to victory over us that year. So glad he didn't "move" to a different physical address. LOL

Raceland should have a huge advantage in the trenches. I think that Ashland will spring loose for a big play here and there, but Raceland will be more consistent and escape Putnam with a two score win.

I just can't believe there is not more posting and good back and forth banter on this thread. This is usually the week for sandbagging and a little good humored badgering. What in the world is going on?! I had to search for this thread on page 2. WOW.
