Ram Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 What does St. Xavier need to do to improve in 2016? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
LongTimeReader Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Consistency from their QB will allow them to over come some short comings on offense, and their OL should be pretty good this year too. Defense under Bruner has kept the Tigers in a number of games and should be tough again this year. They're returning about 13 starters so they have some experience returning, but will have to play mistake free football and take advantage of opportunities that come their against the top teams on their schedule.
PepRock01 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 This smells very bad! Well that is an unfortunate perspective from a Tiger for St. X in 2016.
thsrocks Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 The Tigers run their intrasquad scrimmage in a different manner than my Alma Mater. Ridder played QB today and will not play versus Simon Kenton. He will sit out the first two regular season games. Albers performed adequately at QB. It started at 9:00AM and was over before 10:30AM with a ten minute break built in. I am not familiar with their roster and today was team photo day. The Tiger faithful will know more next week. Coach Wolford de-emphasized the importance of this scrimmage to the parents back in the spring.
Purple Nation Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Which quarterback is going to the University of Cincinnati on scholarship? Is he eligible to play in week 2 vs Bowling Green or is he sitting out? Curious and a bit confused. If you don't mind let me know. Hope you have a good year Saint X. Thank you

Thank you The one going to UC will NOT play vs Bowling Green per St X alumnus with knowledge of the situation.
Adopted Purple Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 The one going to UC will NOT play vs Bowling Green per St X alumnus with knowledge of the situation. I hope he plays. He is a very good athlete. I have a feeling he will play against the Purples.
LongTimeReader Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 I hope he plays. He is a very good athlete. I have a feeling he will play against the Purples. If he doesn't play, it could be a long night for the Tigers at the El.
NLTanker1 Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 Did the Tigers fall to Simon Kenton in their scrimmage?
LongTimeReader Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 Did the Tigers fall to Simon Kenton in their scrimmage? Yes. Tied at 7 at halftime. SK "won" 35-28. From outside looking in, pretty discouraging
NEERFAN Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 St. X had a chance to go up two scores but Brian Carter intercepted a pass in the end zone. SK scored on a 4th and G from the one on a pass. St. X has a nice looking D-Line and gave SK some problems early in the game.
All Tell Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 X "loses" to SK 2 years in a row??? Time of them to turn in their 6A elite cards?
