X "loses" to SK 2 years in a row??? Time of them to turn in their 6A elite cards?

 

X is still a part of the Big 3, but currently they're a distant third. Male had a few years of struggle, but have regrouped and has become the Male everyone knows, but X has hit a very bad patch of mediocrity.

 

I know it's a scrimmage, and I'm heading into the category of "disgruntled alum", but this is not a good sign for the 2016 Tigers regardless if their starting QB didn't play in the scrimmage.

It really depends on whether St. X is treating it like an actual game and trying to win, or experimenting with tactics and positions, not caring about the final score.

Both teams subbed freely starting about midway through the 2nd quarter. It was a varsity scrimmage through 3 quarters but there were subs for both sides on the field. As for play calling both teams were very vanilla. I didn't even know SK knew how to huddle until last night. X's starting QB played the third quarter albeit with some backup receivers and looked OK. Overall I thought St X looked much better this year over last. Last year I'm not sure they wanted to be there. Racke only played a quarter and a half so backup Matt Schearer accounted for the last two TDs. Score was 7-7 at half and 21-7 when the JVs took the field.

I think your dead on. I would not put a lot of stock on this outing. I'd be very surprised if X does not get it going and developes into a team to be reckoned with.

C'mon Folks! The first series of the game with both sides starters playing, X marched down with ease and scored, 2nd series granted it ended in a pick in the endzone X still had full control. After that, changes in the OL, WR were taking place constantly throughout the game. This scrimmage was not about getting a win, this was about getting everyone a chance to showcase their skills so that when W/L do count they are prepared. R-E-L-A-X.
