thanks to my Bluegrass State Basketball Friends. What a wonderful response. Its amazing how everyone loves basketball . Thanks for the info. I see Augusta is the trip to make in 2016-17? I was thinking of the Madison County Hoopfest ? thanks everyone. I hope to hear from several of you .

The team may be a bit down talent-wise than in years past, but the atmosphere of the tiny gym on the river is something you have to experience. I'd tell you to take in Augusta/Bracken, but no game this year or anytime soon. Not sure who is on A-town's home schedule that would be a fun one to see.

That double OT game last year was something else, Hinson's first year against his old team, both district contenders, Connor Maddox buzzer beater, 2016 district host gym, county bragging rights. Imagine how much more that game would have meant if it was a seeding game

99-00 NewCath basketball team. The fans and student section absolutely took over every gym they went to. The regional tournament was only time I have ever seem a student section out do covcaths and the Breds got the win.

Dec. 20 v. St. Patrick would seem to make sense as it is a district rivalry game.

agree. Other "local" team they play is Pendleton, but it is in Falmouth this year.

Only thing is, St. Pat doesn't usually bring that big of a crowd. Last year would have been the year to see Augusta, they were a fun team to watch with a lot of fan expectations. I expect the crowds to be smaller this year.

But if you are in the area early in the season, I think St. Pat vs Mason County will be a fun one. First time to be played at St. Pat's gym in decades. Gym should be busting at the seams.

Totally agree. I wish I could be there for that one.

If there's 200 there, it'll be busting at the seams

This game should be played in the downtown gym

I don't disagree, but I can see why St. Pat wants to host it in their gym. It'll be packed.
