July 28, 201610 yr No, because he makes every police shooting racist. Starting from his comments from Michael Brown as well as the Baltimore incident. When he speaks publicly right after a incident that he has no factual data on and makes it out to be a racial murder by the hands of police officers is just wrong period. Michael Brown was a thug plain and simple. Michael Brown was seen in a video strong arm robbery of a convenient store owner and did not raise his hands and try to surrender as was reported and what Obama went with and what Black Lives Matter was based off of was not the truth. Michael Brown tried to kill a police officer plain and simple, yet you never once heard Obama have another press conference after the facts came out to apologize to the police dept for helping to incite the riots that followed, you didn't hear Obama one time come out and apologize to the Police dept. for making false statments about the case when he first talked about it. What you did hear him say is he was sending the Justice Dept. there as well as Baltimore and many other places where incidents like this happened because he was convinced it was a racial issue instead of admitting these punks were the ones breaking the law, not the officers who were being painted as racist murderers. I'm still waiting to for him to apologize. Instead he is quick to paint Law Enforcement as racist pigs who are out to murder black men. IT all started when he condemned a police officer and labled him a racist when a officer detained the Black Professor from Harvard or wherever he taught. The beer summit was a joke and If I was the officer I would have told Obama, who made it a national racist issue, to pound salt. That is why I truly believe Obama has done more harm when it comes to racial issues in this country than any other President since I've been alive. There is a reason every time Obama sends the justice dept. out to these cities to investigate nothing ever comes of any of those investigations, it's because the facts don't support civil rights violations. What the facts support are punk thugs breaking the law and getting killed. I feel sorry for the DNC when their future bright star is the Baltimore Mayor. She would be the last person I would prop up as being the next best leader for the party. The way she acted after the Baltimore incident and riots should have been enough to charge her for inciting riots. How many of those officers were convicted as she said they would be right after the incident? How did that joke of a prosecutor do in those trials? How she isn't disbarred by now is the biggest mystery to me. Last thing on Obama. When he made his speech after the Dallas shootings and made it all about Racist police, well that was the last straw for me. He is a joke of a President in my book and November can't get here fast enough. "Yes" would have been a much shorter answer.
July 28, 201610 yr Disagree. All he has done is reveal what had been there under the surface. Really? Care to explain? Michael Brown is being glorified for attacking a police officer and trying to kill him. What exactly is under the surface? That crimnals like that should walk the streets free because of the color of their skin? I call bull on that. Edited July 28, 201610 yr by mcpapa R8
July 28, 201610 yr "Yes" would have been a much shorter answer. Lol, I've been away for awhile so had to vent on this topic.

You sure about that? You think Ferguson is happy with the results of the DOJ investigation? "Unlawful bias" doesn't seem like "nothing ever comes of the those investigations." Ferguson PD showed a pattern of violating the 1st, 4th, and 14th amendments. Ferguson did not fare well in the DOJ investigation.

Citing Michael Brown's case as support to show the President has caused more racial tension is like someone citing the case in SC where the officer shot a victim while he was running away and then planted a gun on him as a basis for saying "all officers are bad."

This is a great point.

A legitimate question is why didn't President Obama come out and say he was mistaken to jump to conclusions after his DOJ found the shooting was justified? As a man, I am always the first to admit when I have made a mistake.

I listened to his post-announcement presser again today and he said we should respect the decision but it was clear he didn't necessarily agree with it.

When BLM use Michael Brown's case as the foundation for the BLM movement, well that tells me all I need to know about BLM. With that said, it wasn't just the Brown case, it was also the Balitmore Case and every other case he has come out and made idiotic statements about without knowing the facts of the case. I even mentioned his ignorant Beer Summit in another post where he once again jumped to conclusions and made it a race issue. Make the mistake one time and it's understandable. Make the same mistake over and over and over again, then it becomes a habit.
July 28, 201610 yr Fair. I listened to his post-announcement presser again today and he said we should respect the decision but it was clear he didn't necessarily agree with it. Bingo That my friend is what I said. Obama has never come out and retracted any statement he said when it comes to racial incidents with the police across this country.

As a man, I am always the first to admit when I have made a mistake. Maybe because he chooses to make statements like this: "I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played," Obama said Wednesday night while taking questions after a White House news conference. Cambridge authorities dropped disorderly conduct charges against Henry Louis Gates Jr. on Tuesday. Obama defended Gates on Wednesday night, while admitting that he may be "a little biased," because Gates is a friend. "But I think it's fair to say, No. 1, any of us would be pretty angry; No. 2, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, No. 3 ... that there's a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately."

July 28, 201610 yr In fairness he said in his speech last night that he has made mistakes while serving as POTUS but he didn't list what the mistakes where. I guess getting most of his march madness brackets wrong. :wacky: I kid, I kid. However, I would be interested in hearing what he believes to be his mistakes as POTUS.
