June 26, 201610 yr Here's a fact you can comment on: Which state leads the rest in terms of fewest gun deaths? No' date=' the answer is not Kentucky. The answer is Hawaii. Hawaii's governor just signed into law three more gun-control measures this week. I'm starting to see a correlation here. Unlike Congress, Hawaii Takes Action On Gun Control Hawaii really, we're gonna reach that far? The state with this most millionaires? They don't have many ghettos there and it isn't easy for those who live off of government assistance to drive there. Hawaii craves to be France and Germany, gun free and Hawaii will learn like France and Germany, that only the law abiding citizens will be gun free there.
June 26, 201610 yr  yep we have more guns so we have more deaths by gun. You really think that death rate by gun will stay the same if all guns are banned? Come on man! I don't advocate the confiscation of guns' date=' but when we compare ourselves to other civilized nations we have a glaring issue. I guess the greatest country in the world is filled with an abnormal amount of gangbangers, druggies, and nuts that want to kill each other. Kind of makes you question the greatest nation in the world tag. I'm really not arguing anything in this thread except those that want to act like other civilized nation aren't safer from gun violence.[/quote'] More people die from car accidents with a third of those being DUI/OVI. Yet, we all shake our heads at their mugshots and make a few comments Jesus wouldn't approve of, then we move on with our lives like it didn't happen. It's all subject to what resource does the killing.

Criminals will not and do not submit to background checks, they don't obey laws, they don't care about your rights and they will continue to break laws, both new and old.
June 28, 201610 yr And in your ultimate gun free Utopias, France and Germany, mass shooters accomplished their goals. It appears you struggle or rather don't want to understand that is nobody is ever 100% safe. Which is why I continue to ask you why you want less self defense rights for us? Were those French and Germans expendable because on the surface they are "safer" than us? No one is completely safe from gun violence. There are billions out there, and more being made everyday. They are not on the "surface" safer than you. They are safer.
June 28, 201610 yr No one is completely safe from gun violence. There are billions out there, and more being made everyday. They are not on the "surface" safer than you. They are safer. Then perhaps those that feel they're safer there should move there. I feel quite safe here, so long as we have the 2nd amendment and can conceal carry.
June 28, 201610 yr Then perhaps those that feel they're safer there should move there. I feel quite safe here, so long as we have the 2nd amendment and can conceal carry. Are you saying you wouldn't feel safe if you didn't have guns?
June 28, 201610 yr Are you saying you wouldn't feel safe if you didn't have guns? For self defense, no I wouldn't. Why would I want to rely on waiting minutes when seconds matter in defense of my family or myself?
June 29, 201610 yr For self defense, no I wouldn't. Why would I want to rely on waiting minutes when seconds matter in defense of my family or myself? Glad you feel safer but it doesn't change the facts. I would think those who feel it's necessary to have guns for self defense would be stronger gun control advocates for their safety.
June 29, 201610 yr Glad you feel safer but it doesn't change the facts. I would think those who feel it's necessary to have guns for self defense would be stronger gun control advocates for their safety. I guess it depends on who's facts we're looking at. If you're paying attention, you already know what measures we believe are needed. We don't agree with what many of you are considering.

We don't agree with what many of you are considering. I believe some of the same things you do, RTS, and I'm not considering anything like you think. I'm not even making any propositions. FWIW, I find it crazy that anytime something happens in countries with strict gun control laws several BGPers get on here acting like more guns in that country would have been the answer when data goes against that.

Unfortunately, many people believe a sign that says "no guns allowed" is the be all, say all form protection. As you're starting to acknowledge, stuff does happen and when stuff does happen, I'd like to be able to protect myself.
