I think Conner made a really good hire with Matt. He's a great guy and a great coach. I'm sure Ryan Bowman is heartbroken over this, but he will get his chance. Congrats, Coach Otte!

Matt is a really nice person, and I'm very happy for him to have the opportunity to run his own program. I will miss our chats between the JV and Varsity games at CovCath, but I know he has big things in store for Conner Hoops. I will be rooting hard for the Cougars every game of the year but 1.

Honestly, I don't know if Bowman will have his chance after this. I know he's established in the school system, has young kids, so will he be willing to go somewhere else?

My second sentence mistakenly begins with "It's" when I should have simply put "It", so very possibly that right there is what lead to the confusion while disrupting the flow. I always proofread, but little flubs often get by me, and it drives me nuts when I realize this past the window period to edit it.

I wonder if they let Jim have a part in the process. Being the AD I would think he would have had a say, but since he was so close to the situation with his own former assistants as candidates I would guess the Conner administration made this decision.
