They keep showing the video. Looks like the putter is not grounded when the ball moves.

And yes, the USGA is giving the KTCCCA a run for its money.

Watched the replay closely. If the ball even twitched on the practice strokes it would make sense. But that ball was at rest after the practice strokes. Seems like that is no fact based evidence and the ruling would be subjective.

And, as I have been screaming at the TV for the past half hour...the ball moved BACKWARDS. If he had made contact from behind, you should have seen the ball going forwards.

Well, seems all will be well that ends well.

Glad for DJ.

Happy that DJ won it. Would've loved to see the USGA squirm some, though.

Final group is combined +14 in the final round. Still have to finish 18 so that could change some.

I still call crap on the USGA giving him that penalty.

I guess he has $1.8 million reason to not really care about that stroke now...

With you 1000%.

USGA dirtied their drawers today. Greens 14 on the meter, uphill lie. Course was set up to be slicker than us amateurs could imagine. Gravity moves the ball, pretty simple to understand. Bad ruling, and perverted the rule to be "guilty until proven innocent".

Is this lady drunk? The lady that is the head of the USGA? She's stumbling all over herself trying to talk.

Golf is the ultimate game of integrity. Guy says he didn't make the ball move, should be end of story.

If I'm in doubt at all next time it happens but I really think I didn't make the ball move, do I call the rules official over?
