June 15, 201610 yr It would have helped if Disney had put signs up telling people why there was no swimming. No signs said alligators were there. And nobody dangled the child anywhere. Technically, they followed the rules. They weren't swimming! You are in Florida, if you need a sign to know gators in the water, then you probably shouldnt be in Florida.

June 15, 201610 yr From what I have read, the signs only said no swimming. I still think any normal person should know that you avoid freshwater areas in Florida BUT that changes my mind a little bit. I could see Disney being forced to pay something if there were no warnings about gators.

June 15, 201610 yr I'm 5'10"... If you want to be picky about the fact they weren't swimming let me ask this. I can technically stand in 4 or 5 foot water and not be "swimming." If I get eaten by an alligator, is it my fault? A foot of water to a 2-year old is swimming.
