I voting for Trump for 1 reason, the Supreme Court. The only thing he could say that would change my mind was if he said he was going to nominate for the court based on recommendations from Dems.

 

What degree of confidence do you have, honestly, that if Trump wins the presidency he will actually pack the court with hardline conservatives? Or for that matter, even mild conservatives?

 

I'm thinking 5 percent for the first, and about 40 percent for the second. Trump has a lot to question in terms of bonafide conservative credentials.

And Clinton is a 100% lock to nominate hard line liberals. 5% is better then 0%

Alltell, I'll respectfully disagree with you that a vote for Johnson or anyone else is essentially a vote for Clinton. Unless something shocking happens, Trump is going to win KY, regardless of who you, I, or anyone else on here votes for. KY is not really up for grabs. Any of us on here could vote for Johnson, without helping Clinton out at all. And I think most of you will agree with me that Gov. Johnson is more than 500% the better alternative than Donald Trump, and in many of your views, better than HRC. There's no reason why any of us has to vote for just one of two people. Clear-conscience voting is perfectly acceptable.

Can we all agree that Trump raised eyebrows with his support of not allowing people on the No Fly No Buy list to be banned from buying guns only to backtrack after an emergency meeting with the NRA? Of course then they came out and said that people on the No Fly No Buy list should have "due process" before being placed on the list and that once on the list you lose your second amendment rights. Sounds eerily similar to something that was discussed and shot down by BGPers when discussed.

Frankly, if every Democrat with a conscience voted for Gary Johnson, the world would be in a better place, as long as every Republican with a conscience did the same. Sadly, I have zero faith in the American populace to overcome its dedication to an always-shifting party platform, and its love for sniping at the other side, to do what's right for this country.

For the last 8 years gun control has been near the top of the list for republicans. The silence around Trump's flip flopping on such a major issue is weird to me. At the end of the day he is pretty much saying he wants to be like Obama when it comes to guns and no one is saying anything about that at all. Just confuses me.

I'm Gary Johnson like you. But as a guy who has his ear to the ground in the GOP. If Trump were to win it would mean a lock GOP keeps Senate. So they aren't worried about it.

I don't agree. Gary Johnson has no chance to win, none. The people that are most likely to vote for him are disgruntled Republicans who won't vote for Trump so every vote cast for him helps Hillary. We got Clinton I because of Ross Perot. Some say we got GWB because of Ralph Nader. Until we have a runoff system (and that will never happen) then 3rd party candidates have no chance and I'm to strongly opposed to Clinton to do ANYTHING that I believe will help her b
