Why move up?

Let's see.

Stay in 3A and travel to Henry Co., North Oldham, Spencer Co., and Western Hills.

Or move up 1 class, and travel is a little better but still tripping to Bourbon, Harrison, and Pendleton. Plus CCH likely moving up.

Or move up 2 classes.

Hence, less travel, bigger gates, local schools, keep CCH rivalry intact, play bigger schools.

Yet, still have a distinct shot at a title every year, or at least the early favorites.

So your saying you want to be in with the likes of Scott , Holmes , Grant Co and Dixie in your District . For now, HHS draws players from anywhere in NKY . Why wouldn't you want to jump up with the Big Boys that you play now ? :confused:

Why so concerned with HHS? Seems like you should be more concerned with the "Ole Dixie Colonels". Don't worry about the leaves in your neighbors yard when yours isn't raked. Read it. Learn it. Live it.:flame:

IF you read my other post you would know , I'd like to see Dixie move up and stay with Boone, SK and the others . But you just proved me right on yours , you want to be in the one your on top all the time . Where you can always say where 3a playing 5a schools Scott, Grant Co. Holmes , and ..........so on !Lets all move up to 6A and play the BEST and see who wins all the state titles! I don't play football so I'm not in 3a or 4a or whatever. I am in a class of my own:D . HHS on the other hand will try to stay with the Blue Colonels and that will be in 5A. I think a 2 class move up is pretty ambititious. Set your sights on Beechwood thats Dixies next foe. Good luck:thumb:

I think this thread kind of jumped the tracks at some point... Does anybody know why the game was cancelled? I think, the only reason I think would be acceptable is adverse weather or not enough available players.

Last year Holmes cancelled their game with Highlands (Frosh). We were told it was due to the fact they had a small number of kids and they had incurred some injuries.

 

Holmes freshman team only had around 20 players last year. I think they had to cancel quite a few games because of a lack of players which is a shame because as big as that school is they should have atleast 40 kids on the freshman team every year. Heck my freshman year there we had 60 on the team.

 

But as for the Rebels cancelling the JV game, this isn't anything new. Boone has cancelled the games w/ Holmes the past 4 years. I think teams need to reconsider scheduling Boone and if they are, they might want to try to find a different JV team to play that week. I guess Boone sees the CCH game as meaningless since they dont play in the same district so why have your JV team play them? Thats a load of crap though if you ask me. All of those young men worked just as hard as the varsity players over the summer so why make them suffer because your varsity just got it handed to them? :confused:

Weather was fine...and why would Boone not have enough players available when they have aroudn 65-70 kids on the team every year?
