Texas and the LHN the main road block for UC to the Big 12

It amazes me that the other Schools and the conference leaders allow Texas to have that much control. Its time for schools to stand up to Texas.

They're between a rock and a hard place. If Texas bails I imagine OK will also, then you don't have much of a conference.

I understand about concern of Texas leaving. But what other power 5 conference will allow them that much power?

The Sooners are really the ones getting the raw deal

They theoretically wouldn't needed a conference affiliation with them having the LHN. Could go independent and do just fine. At least on the football aspect of it.

UC just isn't a 'fit' for the B12. Not sure where they do fit. They're the classic 'tweener' that seems to always be left out.

In the end, the move to another conference is all about $ and it's clear that the advantage would be for UC, not necessarily for the B12. UC fans (how many are there really?) won't travel and the TV market is really an OSU market.

UC has been spending money for years in an attempt to join the B12. This would be devastating.

Texas' domination of the Big XII is what caused Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and especially A&M to flee the conference a few years ago. The conference desperately needs to sort out the Longhorn Network conundrum creating one "have" and 11 dwarfs.

Making all the cash while being average in hoops and on the gridiron.

Poor Oklahoma. If there's one school that is caught in the Texas quicksand, it's the Sooners. Yet they can't escape the grip of the Longhorns and simply move to the SEC for a variety of reasons. Lots of politics involved in all this. Sooners are joined at the hip with the Longhorns one way and with Okie State the other way.

Not sure why they don't just create the b12 network, kill the LH network, give UT their $15M for 10 years and make everyone else split the rest. It's better than what they get now.

Be creative. Divide the $ based on some type of APR result, not just on who sells the most tshirts.

I'm not sure there is a Power 5 that UC fits in with. They are an above average Mid Major and nothing more.

I agree. I liked them in the old Big East for football. They may be better off staying in CUSA and trying to build up that conference.
