Blame your coach or AD they are the ones along with the other schools to change it.

 

I can see no compelling reason for other schools not to go along unless they are hoping blind draw gives them a shot at getting to the regional they wouldn't normally have.

 

Our school has tried and tried to get seeding in place 2-2 vote so isn't much we can do.

 

to the bolded: that is indeed the case. the other two schools feel they cant make it to a regional if seeded. Not to mention the $$$ aspect. Not as obvious in baseball as basketball but the money is another driving factor.

If you are a fan of not having the best quality tournament in the region and your regular season meaning nothing then by all mean draw. But that don't sit well with most.

BC always voted to seed even when we knew we was third seed at best.

You seem to have an issue with 2 schools not choosing to vote so it is in your best interest.

The best way to solve this is class all sports not just football. The main point is that the AD are going to do what is best for their school. Class them and have more than 1 state champion we have six in football.

This is the problem I have, a lot are saying what is best for the SCHOOLS. What is best for the KIDS? No kid wants to lose by 24 in baseball or 64 (78-14 GRC vs St. Pat in GBB at regionals) in basketball. Show me any other sport at any level where regular season games do not matter?

Ok so you go to a draw. Now you force a smaller school to have to play these teams twice a year instead of not having to play them at all regular season. So you want them to take 5 or 6 beatings a year against the district and have nothing to show for it instead of having a chance to to do something the school might have never done. I say all districts should be a draw and play whoever you want in the regular season or just say if you don't have a winning season then you don't go to any playoffs. Problem solved only teams with winning records in their district make playoff. Class all sports. That is something the KHSAA can control.

We happen to be in a district that draws so yeah its a big deal when your 1-2 seeds have to play each other in round 1 so your best two teams in your district don't get a chance at region. :idunno:

But, the reality is the 39th District was one of the weakest in the 10th Region. 2nd place team beat only one team all year that had a .500 season. Rest of the season was a disaster (12-19 record and that included a forfeit). Best team had one pitcher and of course lost in opening regional game to another District's runner-up. All this dialogue of injustice has been created by a very bad baseball school screaming we are not as bad as St. Pat and Augusta. That is very true. But lets be honest, the 39th District is an awfully weak baseball district! Take your arguments to the KHSAA where it is justifiably needed to be argued. Until then, I suspect the seeding vs draw votes will not change. And that is from a seeding guy 100%.

Football. Winless teams in 4 district schools make playoffs and get beat 62-0 in 1st round of playoffs with 1st qtr running clock and zero tackles in first half.

Go back and look at how many one or two run games BC was in before you start talking about the 12-19 record. Could have easily been 19-12. Play Harrison lost 4-0. Played Campbell lost 5-4. Played Mason 3 times two were 5+ run losses but had one game 2-1.

 

Seems as if you alway are ready to jump on me when I post on here so whatever. You know what's right you say you are a seed guy. But yet you are still ready to defend the stupid draw. Kinda talking out of both sides of one mouth. Smh :no:
