I believe CJ Frederick resides in Ohio. Again, nothing against the family. I just don't agree with the stupid KHSAA rule that allows this.

What about the county? Should you also have to attend a school in the county you live? City?

I don't have a problem with any kid attending Cov.Coth.as long as they live in the state. Allowing private schools to accept kids to come in from other states to play sports is an un even playing field. Just my opinion. Not trying to start this discussion that gets no where.

So a kid from from out of state can attend a school in KY but he can't play sports? Is that what you are saying?

I watched the CCH JV team once last year and they have some talent. Add that JV team with their returning varsity players along with Garrison and a top notch squad gets deeper and better.

Averaged 13 a a soph at Mason. Stats make it look like he's not a shooter. 20% form 3. 54% from the line.

 

Not making a comparison between an 11th grader and a major college player, but think Briscoe's game.

But they are allowed to have kids play for them that actually live in Ohio. I know that they are allowed to do so, but in my opinion you should have to play in the state that you reside in. I know there are different opinions on this, but that is mine.

 

 

I understand your argument but it's not restricted to private schools accepting out-of-state students. Public schools can , and have, accepted out-of-state kids.

Plus his cousin who is a Frosh this year but played JV.

 

 

Also, agree Garrison is a nice player but I sadly don't see him starting and think that it could even be rough to get into the rotation. A lot of talent there already and a bunch more moving up! Hard to move in on something like that. Again, very solid player and I'm not knocking him any way. He could start at most schools. Good luck Isaiah wherever you end up.

Any School in Kentucky, Kentucky does not have a residency requirement, just a requirement that you be enrolled in a KY school.

I'm only speaking of NKY b-ball, but the kid from Holy Cross several years ago that got chaufeured in to school every day and Frederick. Does anyone out there know of any public school kids that live in Ohio and play for a NKY public school. Just asking because I have not heard of any.
