May 2, 201610 yr Author 1. I don't claim to know what any minority groups wants or what they will do. I've said for a year on here this election may not be about winning a certain minority group but instilling enthusiasm. I just don't see Hillary bring that to this point. If certain groups stay home it's trouble. 2. I'm not a fan of Trump. But I know I don't like Hillary. So I have to weigh my dislike for Hillary compared to what I think of Trump. It's either Trump or Gary Johnson for me. 3. I believe Trump has well over 2 million more votes than Romney did last primary. I don't know what that means for the general election. But those saying he can't even garner Romney level support seem to be wrong. I've been discounting Trump for months. I got egg on my face and I don't get it. But who knows. For nearly 2 generations now, the GOP has failed to deliver on campaign commitments. They promise smaller government, give us bigger government. Promise change on social issues, deliver the status quo. Promise to roll back the regulatory insanity that has gripped this culture, only to make it worse. I don't support liberalism, but, the DEMS overall have delivered much of what they promise to their constituency (abortion rights and universal health care being two examples). What have the GOP accomplished for this country, other than the pursuit of nation building/regime change abroad? Along comes the buffoon Trump. Scorches the GOP establishment, condemns George W. Bush interventions, condemns free trade and the state of border security. The establishment crucifies him, his support grows. The establishment proclaims Trump cannot be the nominee because he does not share "their values". The 10 million primary voters refute the establishment by becoming 12 million pro Trump voters. Trump has become the release valve for generations of political frustration of a system whose constituency has been the 1%. The same 1% that asserts that their values are the ones that should be reflected in a nominee over the millions of primary voters who expressed otherwise. We should all be outraged.

May 2, 201610 yr Author I respectfully disagree. I don't think the racial tension has anything to do with economic inequality. While mass incarceration has hurt the black community I do think that economically the black community has never been better and is trending in the right direction. Can you support that with data? Other than STEM, Health Care and Security/Law Enforcement, everything else I see in the economy is low wage service and trade skill employment? All the data I've seen shows higher unemployment, and lower education rates in black communities. What am I missing? I posted data supporting my position in post 16. I see more black owned businesses, more black CEOs, more black law firms, more black accountants, more black executives, more black school administrators, more black college graduates, etc. I'm guessing blacks being released from prison and not being able to find quality work figure J to that data but from my childhood to now I've never seen more successful black families in my lifetime. I'd love to know how they gathered their data. No one has ever asked me how much I make in a year and I'm pretty sure my company isn't releasing that data either. Great point...one that is, in my opinion, almost always overlooked by both sides of the political argument. Seems as if all either sides counts are inner city/urban families. I have a hard time believing blacks are as bad off as the numbers may indicate. I guess I have just lived a charmed life in knowing a significantly high amount of successful and gainfully employed blacks.
