I am having a very difficult time thinking of any significant candidate in the last 25 years that I would choose Cruz over. Not one. This is how much I don't like Cruz - I don't even have a second thought about choosing Hillary over him.

It is character as much as policy. I don't trust the guy. His belief system and mind are closed and I consider that a very dangerous character trait. His personality strikes me as the type who believes he knows better than everyone else and will do what he believes regardless of what others may advise - because he knows he is right.

The candidate who most consistently addresses these issues is Bernie. If the only thing Bernie changed was the name of his party, from Democratic Socialist to Republican, he would have won the Republican nomination already.

For the record Ted Cruz is the smartest man running and it's not close. He understand more about constitutional law than any poster on this site. I see many defend Obama for his background in law but then ignore the fact the Cruz background is more impressive.

I've also read posts saying peiple don't know a Cruz supporter. If you live in KY and considering how close the race was between Trump and Cruz I'm guessing many of you know a Cruz supporter and don't realize it.

Sanders and Trump are close agreement on free trade and on increasing the tax burden/removing loopholes on the 1%. I had suggested in a thread here that a Trump/Sanders independent ticket would be effective. Naturally, the idea was dismissed.

 

The very first line is why neither understand how the world economy works. The damage has been done. Close the loop holes they speak of and see tariffs put on American goods.

 

It's insane to listen to people talk about the global economy without any real solutions.

 

What is increasing the tax on the 1% going to pay for ? Just a PR move , both Bernie and Trump play of people's emotion with no solid solutions. Hillary is a lair and changes her opinion with every poll and his been bought by foreign donors for years. Cruz to me is the most intelligent and I would gladly vote for him but I understand the media and the left have done a successful job of painting him as a polarizing figure instead of the agent of true change he has been.

 

So in reality there is only one choice left in the field and that's why he won't win. We all know who the grownup is with a proven track record of balancing the budgets both in Congress and as a governor, his last name Kaisch.

 

But instead everyone spends their time on here bickering about candidates with either no real ideology, dumb policies or lighting rods.

Cruz went on some crazed delusional rant about the media tonight after he got blasted in the primaries. I think he has lost it. He can't comprehend how this is happening and is going Don Quixote.

He is the most insider outsider ever.

 

He was the Bush backup plan after Jeb failed. His wife is GS connected.

 

 

Finally his candidacy shows that the Repub Party is not the law and order party it claims.

 

 

Cruz is in no way the party or country unifier. He should be honorable, to what extent he can, and drop out.

Lots of speculation that the 430 press conference today is Cruz dropping out of the race.
