Cubs @ Reds (4/21-4/24)

I despise fans doing that stuff but that one got a chuckle out of me. If you are going to do it, that was a good one to do it on.

Reminded me of the Hank Aaron home run trot with the random fans :lol2:

Cubs fans getting real cocky real fast. Gonna be fun when they flame out in the second round.

What does a Reds fan know about the 2nd round of the playoffs?

That one might be on me guys.

We were standing in the garage before they let us in the door. Vending buddy asks me how well I thought Arrieta would pitch against us. The response, "probably throw a no hitter".

I apologize.

On a lighter note, that was the 2nd no hitter I've seen while working.

The female selfie while sipping a beer has completely taken over this season and after last night, there is no doubt I will see more of those than I will Reds runs.

HT has spoken the truth. Count on it. They have too much "Cubness".

Guys, you know I'm a Cardinals fan. I spent many years living in midstate Illinois, surrounded by Cub fans. (Shoot, even my dad, being from Chicago, roots for them) Yes, their fans get a little "mouthy" at the least sign of hope for them.

But as surely as the Fall follows Summer, the "El Foldo's" will collapse in due time.

Yep. Death, taxes, and the Cubs falling short. Only 3 guarantees in life.

Ya'll want a little more insult to injury on last night:

@theaceofspaeder:

June 7, 2004: #Reds draft Jake Arrieta 918th overall. Does not sign.

4,336 days later...

April 21, 2016: #Cubs Jake Arrieta no-hits Reds.

This was the first game I got to watch from start to finish. It looks like the reds players have no fire already, that the realize they suck so bad, its almost not worth the effort. You could see it in Phillips, Meso, Votto. When Bruce got walked, it was like wanted no part of being on base.

Enough to not grab a ball before it got to a player's glove.

I was thinking the same thing last night and I watched it from start to finish. Could have been a case where you know your posterior is being handed to you. Folks, this may not be the first one this year.
