If she doesn't win it, then the people that are voting are an embarrassment to themselves and basketball in general and should be removed from ever judging anything which requires a basketball IQ because they do not have it.

I get your point and have seen a mockery before in the past by the people voting for Ervin Stepp for Mr. Basketball in 1980 over Dicky Beal.

 

But I would hope that we still don't have individuals looking at just numbers such as Creech vs Boley, but more so on the competition these two young ladies played against and how did they help their team get better. In that case it's Boley award.

 

But let's see if history will repeat itself.

Interesting point I've heard today, a lot of people in 5th region still have a bad taste in their mouth over whether Erin Boley should have gone to LaRue Co. or not. She may lose some votes from 5th region coaches, which is where she should sweep! Then if she loses say 13-16th region votes Ms. basketball voting may be closer than we all think!

 

In my opinion two great players but it should be an easy selection, Boley is one of the best EVER.

I have put it on here before, Erin has a chance to start at Notre Dame, I might be wrong but I think she will. They are #2 in the country with 1 loss this year, so she is pretty good. I would put her top 3 that our state has produced

 

She's the best that I have ever seen in Kentucky. Every time I have watched her I have tried to find a weakness but I have yet to see one. If you want to beat E-Town you had better hope she doesn't shoot it well that night.

This is a valid point. I'm from the 14th and saw Creech play 4 times this year. She's a heck of a player but there's no way she saw the competition that Boley encountered. I haven't seen Boley play but by reading about what she's done and how all the major schools such as UConn wanted her, I'm sure she would have had her way in the 14th.

Yeah. Boley was recruited by all of the top schools. UConn was begging her to come but she ended up choosing ND. This is not a knock against Whitney Creech at all. She did great things and accomplished things that nobody probably ever will but when the smoke settles, Boley is one of if not the best girls basketball player to come out of this state. She has played against not only the best in Kentucky but some of the best in the nation and is still dominant on that stage. Good luck to ETown in the game tomorrow against Butler, which I feel will determine the state champion. Great job Whitney on an amazing career and good luck at WKU!

Nominations for the 2016 Mr. and Miss KY Basketball will be accepted starting January 25th from all Kentucky head high school basketball coaches, members of the KABC and select Kentucky sports media

When will the winner of Ms. Kentucky basketball be announced?

The male and female with the most votes from the final ballot will be named Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball on Tuesday, March 15th at the Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball Awards Ceremony in Lexington, KY.
