Final from Nelson County

Final per Dr. Schue.

Quentin Goodin nets 33 as Taylor County beats Bardstown 69-53 to head to Rupp for the second consecutive year

Things were tied at 28-all about 2 minutes into the 3rdQ. Then, Taylor peeled off a 10-0 spurt that was part of a larger 21-6 run to take control. Goodin hit three of his five threes during this stretch, and ended up with 14 in the 3rdQ.

Goodin picked up his 4th foul early in the 4thQ, but Bardstown couldn't take advantage of it, getting only as close as 8 in the final period.

Sloan ended up with 19, with 13 in the second half.

For Bardstown, Santrel Farmer had 15 and Daydrian Allen and Kel Livers pitched in 11 apiece.

Taylor County has a chance to win it all.

After watching how they put their foot down with huge second-half runs against Bardstown and North, I'm inclined to agree.

I know the voting is done, but if it wasn't, Goodin made a great push to be Mr. Basketball. Congratulations to Taylor County

I definitely agree with Jim, Bardstown should be credited with playing a good game. I believe it was during that run in the third that Q got in a rhythm from behind the arc. That was really the difference in the game. Although Taylor won, definitely a hats off to the Tigers. They played hard and made a game of it.

Goodin was 10-15 FGs and 5-9 3FGs and 8-11 FTs with 5 rebounds

Taylor is becoming the team everyone thought they would be to start the year. They've beat some very good teams the 2nd half of the season such as: Dunbar, Casey Co. NH, Bardstown, Hop town, and South Laurel.

Almost picked this one...but went to Trinity and X instead.

The guy I do go to some games with went to this one and said Taylor just the better team; no shame in that because they are best team on most nights.

Friend did say he saw some pushing after the game between coaches. Hope it was nothing crazy or serious...

Yes there was an issue between some of the coaches after the game. It was broken up before it got too serious.
