Pray for cold shooting by the Colonels.

Hemmerich & Scott are a nice combo. I think they help keep it within 15.

Only team in the 9th that can beat CovCath right now is CovCath beating themselves. Wouldn't be edited shocked if they win every regional tournament game by double digits

I know there is always "a chance", but honestly, does Conner have any chance in this game on Sunday??

Conner is a pretty decent team. They seem quite driven and as they showed last night can score in spurts and never gave up no matter what. It would be foolish of the Colonels to think just because they killed them the first time around that this Cougar team isn't coming to play and to try like hell to make a game of it. Sure the Colonels are tuff, but I'm seeing a closer game here than most seem to be anticipating. Wouldn't surprise me if it turned into one for the ages.

That was nice of whoever provided all the food for the Crazies that was rolled out on carts last night. I don't know how they knew, but some near where I was sitting was saying that it was provided by Jeff Ruby.

It was Ruby.

Flood brings alot to the table for sure. Sweeney stepped up . Solid player . Has played well in last several games. Gives the Colonels depth going into the tourney.

Agreed... he has certainly stepped up his game and looks like he belongs.

So what high school kid is Ruby stalking now? That guy is an absolute creeper and most importantly a "front runner".

On the topic of Sweeney, it is mentioned that he looks like he belongs. Well the kid was playing exclusively JV when he was a frosh until late in the year and I believe has been dressing Varsity since that time so the kid obviously has some skills.

The thing that amazes me is that a parent would send there kid to CovCath and watch their playing time be limited in some cases and not explore the possibility of finding another school where they can excel athletically and academically.

Agree about Ruby- just feels weird.

Re: sending a son to Cov Cath and the playing time thing. Id guess I'd say it's all about the idea of being a part if a championship level team, no matter where you sit in the pecking order.

Short answer: No. Long answer: No.

First time seeing Newport, I was expecting them to be better. CovCath has improved considerably since the beginning of the year. Large improvements even since mid-season. They are extremely impressive. Look forward to watching them at Rupp. That said, I do think their is a slight chance Holy Cross or NewCath could knock them off. This would take CovCath being a little off and HC/NCC playing their best games of the year.

If it was the first time seeing Newport, you were only able to witness 40% of the original starters they had. They played pretty good without them.

IMO Holy Cross cannot beat CCH again.

If CCH loses it will be to Cooper or NCC.

That explains it. I didn't realize they were so depleted. Injuries or other factors??

Suspensions.
