I know you didn't mean to me....but I really am confused now!

I actually didn't think it was hard until everyone started interpreting the topic differently. :D

I've already got a headache. I think I'll go watch the Food Network...

That pretty much sums up the Mayfield/Paducah rivalry, minus the state titles, but that doesn't matter when we are talking about the regular season does it? We have more history than the X/T rivalry, more interesting stories, we have 5 or 6 randomly selected students to ride bicycles about 40 miles each way to get the game ball and bring it back in time for the pep rally. Bon fires, car bashings, percentage wise, I would wager our attendance is higher than this one over the years. We have about 95 years worth of controversial games between the 2 teams

Male and Manual have almost a couple of decades on that, if you're going to throw age as a criteria.

I think crowd size is only one element that should be included but not the most important. The two largest schools in the state's largest city SHOULD draw the biggest crowd. You can't hold that against a rivalry like a Fulton County/Fulton City who just don't like each other with a playoff berth on the line just about every year. I'm in no way saying FC/FC is the best rivalry in the state, but just giving an example of criteria that others view....

I agree. X/T may be the best attended game every year, but I don't think that makes it head and shoulders above Beechwood/NCC or HHS/CCH(insert any big rivalry) in terms of importance.

From a NKY point of view...

1A - NCC/Beechwood

2A - Newport/Lloyd

3A - HHS/CCH

4A - Conner/Boone Cty

Outside of the classes for NKY....

NCC/Newport

Each and every school in the state has a BIG rivalry. I don't think you can measure which is the biggest. If you go by attendance, then all the big 4A games(x/t, male/manual....etc) would be considered the biggest. I can see where Danville/Boyle Cty could say they have one of the best in the state. Two very successful schools with very little distance between them in a game that is more about bragging rights than it is about playoff implications.
