the game guy Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Hear he is out unless they make a very strong run, who will replace him.
Wireman Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 I feel like he's been on the hot seat for like 6 years now

the game guy Posted February 14, 2016 Author Posted February 14, 2016 Will Tom Wade replace him, KY boy with a great resume
NEERFAN Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Surprised he's still in Stillwater. Seven seasons since they've made it past the first round. Never made the second weekend.
gchs_uk9 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Hear he is out unless they make a very strong run, who will replace him. The very strong run has been his impetus for leaving every other place. Went to one tournament at Campbellsville then leaves for EKU. Four bad years at Eastern then one run and leaves for UMass. Two NITs and leaves for Oklahoma State. And now a run of blah years in Stillwater. Bottom line, if you take away his final season at each of Campbellsville, EKU, and Massachusetts, his career record is 252-212 (.543).
UKMustangFan Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Will Tom Wade replace him, KY boy with a great resume Very doubtful. He's had some pretty serious health issues lately, hasn't he? I bet they'll go after Archie Miller or Gregg Marshall. I doubt they'd get either, but they have pretty much unlimited funds if they want to spend it.
NKY Bandit Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Stillwater ranks pretty low in the basketball hierarchy. If your Archie or Gregg, hard to think that your current job is worse than this one. $ doesn't always = happiness. Marshall and Miller have both recently renewed their deals and turned down 'bigger' schools and paydays.

Just think those are two guys that any major school has to at least make them tell you know at this point. I think the guy they could get, that they may go after, is Bryce Drew from Valpo. His brother is at Baylor so he already knows what to expect from the Big 12, and he's done about as much as can be expected at a place like Valpo.

the game guy Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 I bet they might go after Kenny Payne as he is more than ready
Getslow Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 They might like to have Archie in Stillwater, but I feel like the dissatisfaction with Gottfried is growing by the day in Raleigh and that Archie Miller will be coaching at NC State, his alma mater, this time next year.
NKY Bandit Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Caught a few minutes of the KU game. Sounded like OSU had a ton of injuries this season that definitely impacted the product on the court. Maybe he get's a pass this season with a directive to 'win or else' next season.
the game guy Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 He might end up at Western as Harper is on his way out also
