February 2, 201610 yr With all due respect to nWo, I am hoping that Phil is right. No shadow so early spring. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/capital-weather-gang/wp/2016/02/02/groundhog-day-2016-punxsutawney-phil-sees-no-shadow-predicts-early-spring/
February 2, 201610 yr I'm not taking any chances....I enlisted some help! Wolf Has Had Enough Of This
February 2, 201610 yr I know we have more winter like weather on the way, but as long as it doesn't last into March or April I'm good with it.
February 2, 20188 yr Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning. Statistically in his 131 recorded predictions previous to this one, he's been correct about a third of the time. The members of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club Inner Circle would contest that, though, saying that Phil's predictions are 100% accurate, and the errors were on their part when their president has incorrectly translated Phil's prediction from Groundhogese.
February 2, 20188 yr 21st century and we are still trying to predict the weather by ripping a sleeping rodent out of his winter bed. Poor little guy.
February 2, 20188 yr Apparently Charles G. Hogg at the Staten Island Zoo - "Staten Island Chuck" - didn't see his shadow this morning. Chuck has been in the prognostication business for 37 years now (versus 132 years for Phil), but Chuck has been accurate 80% of the time...more than twice the success rate of Phil's 39% of the time.
