I know a kid who plays for Rose Hill who is a 6th grader who is very good. He plays AAU for them. Hustles and could play high school but they won't let him. You probably know him.

Rose Hill is probably the only school in the region that actually does allow 6th graders to play on the high school team.

Sophomore James Strange for Pineville. The opprotunity to score will now be there because he will probably takeover the playmaker role that was Blake Hensley's last year. The kid has a very consitant shot and alot of athleticism to go along with that. And if we're including juniors as underclassmen then you can't forget about Pineville's big man Dustin Day.

What's the story on Arkansas Brewer being @ L'Ville Southern?? I thought he was a born & bred Newport Wildcat. Wasn't the Head Director going to adopt him to take the place of Josh Connor????

I was wondering the same thing. How did he end up at Southern?

Nathan Novisel and Taylor Stewart at LexCath both should be pretty good Juniors this year.

Apparently his AAU coach resides in L'ville.

That is ashame because Newport had a strong group of 8th graders last year and he would have put them on the map if they would have stuck together throughout their high school careers. I watched them play some AAU ball without Arkansas and they were very talented.

I hope he is in a good situation and prospers at Southern.

Aarez Henderson of Holmes will be one of the best juniors in the state.

Also Nic Simspson of Highlands could be a possible top 15-20 junior in the state.

But as for Dom Johnson of Holmes, he is an up and coming sophomore that will probably see some varsity action this year. He averaged around 25 points a game last season for the freshman Bulldogs. Not sure he's one of the top underclassman in the state, but definetly a player and one of the better sophomores in nky.

What about the kid from Bryan Station, Shelvin Mack, he suppose to be a D-I Caliber player.

Also the kid from Adair Co., Darren Ballou, is going to be a big time player, Probabily D-I. Has probabily as much potential as any underclassmen in the state. Still need to progress some but I believe he is only a Soph. and is about 6'8 if he is the same player I'm thinking about.

Josh Chiles from Ballard is going to be a good one also, I don't think he has been mentioned yet.

Ark was born and bred a Newport Wildcat but now he'll be heading to Louisville Southern. As i've stated on here previously it will be a much better situation for Ark personally so why must everyone jump him for improving his situation.

Newport will be just fine without Ark they have a very talented player in Brandon Tucker who should excel on the freshman level and possibly move up to varsity. They also have some fine players in Casey McDaniels and Cody Collins.

Josh Conner from HHS will be an outstanding soph

Gilan ?

He was supposed to go to Henry Clay but might be going to Rose Hill or a prep school in Ohio I think.

Michael Campbell of Hazard. He's a 6'4'' sophmore who plays hard all the time.

His Eddie Ford coaches loved him this past summer.

He's a good one, I agree, I forgot about him.:thumb:
