Why do you assume there isn't a parallel investigation going on ? Pretty short sighted to think that there isn't, right ?

At this point there better be an internal investigation going on. Have to cover ones behind you know.

NCC Scholarships

" Incoming freshmen are eligible for scholarships based on their performance on the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Some scholarships are also available to students from all grade levels based on need, merit, and other criteria. Visit this page to view all scholarship opportunities."

What is this other criteria? Just kidding. Pretty straight forward program that helps a lot of kids.

The Butler Scholarships at Newport Central Catholic were established in 2010. Recipients of a Butler Scholarship must be students in good standing with a GPA of 2.5 or above; they must reside in Northern Kentucky, with priority given to urban students; and they must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who show academic ability, leadership skills, community involvement, a desire to succeed, determination, and/or special accomplishments. Recipients remain confidential.

In 2011, the Albert Quitter Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Mr. Al Quitter, a 1958 graduate of Newport Catholic. Eighth grade students from St. Therese School may apply in the spring prior to their freshman year. Students are eligible if they qualify for tuition assistance, show positive involvement in the school and/or community, and maintain a “C” average

This fund was established between Starkist/H.J. Heinz and the City of Newport. Through the city’s support of Newport Central Catholic, the school was granted this fund. Currently, we are presenting these scholarships to students who are residents of the City of Newport in honor of the city’s devotion to NCC. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on academic achievement and financial need.

From NDA:

Establishing a named scholarship grant is a wonderful way to honor an individual or group, while at the same time provide essential student tuition assistance through academic and need-based scholarships. Our scholarships continue in perpetuity so that every year, a deserving student(s) will benefit from your generosity and commitment to 'educating women to make a difference'.

We establish our scholarship at $10,000. The NDA Endowment Fund is invested in a variety of areas, including stocks and bonds to generate income. Each year, five per cent of the money invested is awarded as NDA scholarships and grants, or is applied to programming needs as determined by the establishing party of each scholarship

From St. Henry:

June (Kohorst) '43 Kroger Scholarship

This scholarship was established by family members of June Kohorst Kroger, a 1943 graduate of St. Henry, to honor Mrs. Kroger's love of all things St. Henry. Current juniors are invited to apply for this scholarship and must submit an essay describing how they, like Mrs. Kroger, have worked to exemplify our five pillars of success during their years at SHDHS. Applications are due to the Development Office by May 1. The recipient will receive his/her award during their senior year at SHDHS: $1,000 tuition credit

St. Vincent DePaul Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Northern Kentucky Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The award will be given to a student who has demonstrated dedication to serving those in need as Christ has commanded us and will be contingent upon financial need. Yearly scholarship amounts vary based on available funds, but average award amount is: $500 tuition credit

Bank of Kentucky Minority Scholarship

This special fund is dedicated to increasing student diversity at SHDHS by providing money specifically set aside for minority students. The award is contingent upon financial need. Yearly scholarship amounts vary based on available funds, but average award amount is: Up to $1,000 tuition credit

Knights of Columbus Bishop Ackerman Council 5453

The Bishop Ackerman Council, awards one scholarship to an eligible student entering SHDHS the following fall. The scholarships are awarded for one year and are renewable for each year of high school study, subject to evidence of satisfactory progress, maintenance of eligibility, and the discretion of the K of C Scholarship Committee. The awards are competitive and based on academics, service, and financial need. Applicants must belong to All Saints, IHM, MQH, St. Paul, or St. Timothy parishes, or a child or grandchild of an active member of the Bishop Ackerman Council who is enrolled at SHDHS. Applicants must also have a letter of recommendation from their principal or pastor, and write an essay on the Value of a Catholic High School Education. Contact the Council for information via telephone: 859.586.5010 ext. 274, or by mail: 5890 Veterans Way, Burlington, KY 41005. Yearly scholarship amounts vary based on available funds, but average award amount is: $1,000 tuition credit

What is that? The ability to read above an 8th grade level?

Except No really means Yes in this context.

I have been asked several times this year and a couple in the last week about transfers coming to NDA and getting "work study" programs at NDA. I have no clue how much they get off tuition or where the money comes from but it is being noticed that non feeder kids are coming to NDA and getting these within their sport. When asked I can not answer the question. But hey I would like in on it as well to reduce my nut each month.

Why would non-feeder kids not be eligible for work study? Catholic high schools have open enrollment.

who said they wouldn't be eligible? The question was does the school oversee these and the amounts earned and what the "job" is or does the coach handle it.
