Just curious - What year did Holy Cross start their football program and what year did they start playing at the varsity level???

I think it started in 1998. I'm guessing they played only one year at the JV level and then stepped up to varsity.

As much as this pains me, I agree with BigZig, did I just say that? LOL, just kidding. I don't see him putting down Koz and the coaching staff. He is correct in stating that just because a team has a former pro player (in any sport) as a head coach doesn't mean their HS team will eventually be a great team, this also goes for coaches who were gifted athletes in HS and or college too.

I also agree with BigZig, (not again, lol) that HC would not be the team right behind Beechwood and NCC, if any team gets placed there is would have to be Bellevue as they beat Beechwood last year and played NCC close in two games.

1) Beechwood, NCC

2) the rest

People are mentioning the improvements at HC the past few years, does anyone have the scores of all the HC district games over the last 5 years? Vs Beechwood, NCC and the first round playoff games the past 3 years:

05 = L to Beechwood 3-35 - L to NCC 7-48 - L to LCA 14-55

04 = L to Beechwood 0-65 - L to NCC 7-41 - L to Fairview 14-36

03 = L to Beechwood 7-42 - L to NCC 21-44 - L to NCC 20-42

I hope HC does improve and starts making these scores closer on a regular basis, it would only help the overall view of NKY class A

:thumb: Great another convert.:lol: Gradually I'm winning more and more of you all over.:rolleyes:

If HC is going to improve they better make it happen this year because after that they move to 2A and I seriously doubt that year in and year out they will make much noise playing in that Class.

Started 98-99 School year.

HC is just starting to have a consitent program because it took awhile for a middle school program to develop due to some unplanned events in the programs progress.

As I said in a different thread I am sick of people bashing Koz and his staff. First of all, I know every one of the coaching staff and they do a fine job. When people like you get on here and start talking about coaches, you need check yourself. If you are, or ever coached anything, you should be ASHAMED.

So I should feel ashamed just because I believe that out of the coaching staffs in the area that they probably have the one of the worst ones? :rolleyes: Im sorry but I am not going to feel ashamed for saying that because out of the coaching staffs in this area I truly believe that HC's staff is one of the weaker ones around.

Also just because you know all of them doesn't mean they are a good coaching staff. What have they done since he took over as coach. I think the best finish they have had since he took over is 4th in the district right? Before he took over they had been finishing 3rd in the district. Also I am not just going by what I see, because I played under him and his coaching staff in the all star game a few years ago when they were the coaches. I know the all star game is different, but they did not impress me much at all as coaches during all the all star practices and game. There is a difference between just knowing about football and coaching it, and Kozerski definitely knows about football because I mean he played in the NFL. But IMO he just is not the best when it comes to coaching it....

By the way welcome to the site!

:D Unplanned events you say? Now I wonder what those might be.? ;):p :laugh:

Started 98-99 School year.

Thanks!

I wonder if anyone is taking them serious now.

They are this year what Bellevue was last year. A nice senior laden team that is taking advantage of it and doing quite well to their credit. When they sustain it for a great many years then get back to us, but with the move to 2A next year I doubt seriously that they will ever do much on a consistent basis at that level.

Everyone here is overlooking the Tigers from BELLEVUE... They may have lost to Ludlow but as many people saw they had many mistakes. I think they will give HC a game, perhaps even beat them.

What mistakes.. No turnovers. Ludlow made the mistakes and still won.. Look for the newspaper next year to say that Bellevue missed the playoffs in 2006

Well for one yes Bellevue made many mistakes, including missing blocking assignments and not squeezing down with their D ends. The total offense for Ludlow was near or maybe over 400 yards which IMO should easily win a high school football game! Also your completely wrong about Bellevue not making the playoffs...

Lets all agree that 3 spots are accounted for.

That leaves 3 teams fighting for the last spot. With Ludlow's W over B-town, that gives them the tie-breaker for the 4th spot should it end in a 2-way tie. B-town's best bet is for Dayton to beat Ludlow and for B-town to beat Dayton and force a 3-way tie.
