Covington Holy Cross

They are this year what Bellevue was last year. A nice senior laden team that is taking advantage of it and doing quite well to their credit. When they sustain it for a great many years then get back to us, but with the move to 2A next year I doubt seriously that they will ever do much on a consistent basis at that level.

:thumb: You are completely correct, they are definitely taking advantage of a senior dominated team. Just like Bellevue last year they beat one of the top teams in their down year. Bellevue beat a Beechwood team last year that was down, and Holy Cross did the same thing this year with a NCC team that is down...Which is still great for these programs though because even if the wins didn't come against the normal Beechwood or NCC teams, it is still great to beat such successful programs.

But it is the years to come after this that will tell the tale. Just look at Bellevue they did that last year, and now they are back to where they were before and that is missing the playoffs...

Well for one yes Bellevue made many mistakes, including missing blocking assignments and not squeezing down with their D ends. The total offense for Ludlow was near or maybe over 400 yards which IMO should easily win a high school football game! Also your completely wrong about Bellevue not making the playoffs...

Ok Bellevue had no turnovers, Ludlow did turn the ball over. Ludlow repeatedly drove the ball to the 10 yard line and failed to get it in. Im also sure Ludlow probably missed some blocking assingments of their own. So if you take into account of who made more mistakes it would be Ludlow, and Ludlow still won. Bellevue has no excuses they played as good of a game just about as they could but they just lost to a better Ludlow team...

So do you guarntee the Bellevue makes the playoffs then since he is completely wrong with Bellevue not making the playoffs...

 And Bellevue made those mistakes because of why? Teams usually miss blocking assignments and are unable to squeeze down with their defensive ends as you suggest because of why? I'll tell you why. Ludlow was better. Bellevue got outplayed, outcoached and outscored.. 19-14 Ludlow. Read it and weep..Anyway isn't this thread about Holy Cross..Congrats on your win over NCC. Enjoy what appears to be a good year.
