January 20, 201610 yr Maybe they want out. :idunno: Like the ones in San Bernardino who got out and murdered Americans participating in a Christmas party? We are the infidels, our way of life does not match theirs.
January 20, 201610 yr Like the ones in San Bernardino who got out and murdered Americans participating in a Christmas party? We are the infidels, our way of life does not match theirs. Yep, both of them. And Muslims are out shooting up other places all over the country. While we are at it, lets round up the 20,000 or so Muslim physicians that are in the US (about 10% of all Physicians in this country)...Surely, those guys are out to destroy our way of life too.
January 20, 201610 yr How many do you think are giving up bacon and beer for Allah? Well if they don't the infidel gets his head chopped off.
January 20, 201610 yr If it's a really good post, then why do the leftist welcome them to the US with wide open arms to live amongst our children, if you wouldn't send our children there? Though your question betrays your agenda, which is to take shots at the left, I will take stab at answering. First, to help "show" the answer, let me describe rift within christianity right now. You have christians who believe they "follow the bible" and they don't like new age modern christians much. They call them "chinos" (christians in name only). Chinos don't oppose gay marriage, or evolution, and they see much of the bible as allegory. The conservative christians, ironically, ignore the bible too, but the key point here is that they BELIEVE they are following the bible to the letter. So when a liberal christian sees a verse from the koran or such, they are much more inclined to ignore it, and focus on the message "islam is a religion of peace." They are well practiced in ignoring religious text because they do it all the time in the formation of their own religious beliefs. For many modern christians, the bible could be summed up as "god is love" and anything contrary to that is ignored. So it is pretty easy to apply the same thought process to islam. But when a conservative christian sees a verse from the koran, they see the danger of what could happen if it is followed. They center their lives around following the bible (so they think) so it is easy for them to see what would happen if someone did the same in islam. And I think this is a danger, for reasons I have stated before in multiple posts. Our secular nation is better, in every important way, than islam-based nations. We need to be very aggressive in the war of ideas. Bad ideas will fall, if the truth is spoken long enough.
January 20, 201610 yr I doubt to many of our kids will give up hamburgers for Buddah I think you are confused with Hinduism.

Non-sectarian, yes, but I am not sure "secular" is a good description, at least not of the source of many of our ideas for freedom. Only in the last 40-50 years have we been pushing the secular side of it. I don't disagree with the overall point summarized by the statement that our nation is better in every important way than Islam-based nations.
January 21, 201610 yr I can remember a guy up in Fairfield OH that decapitated his wife about 20-25 years ago. He wasn't a Muslim; he was just insane. But we can agree that insane muslims decapitate people, right?
January 21, 201610 yr Islam is a bunch of bad ideas piled on top of other bad ideas. We need to quit pussyfooting around this. I don't have any problem mocking christianity when it needs to be mocked. (which is a lot ) We need to understand that there is a difference between respecting someone's religious freedom and respecting their religion. I respect everyone's religious freedom, but that does not mean I can't look at a doctrine of the religion and say "that is bs." If you want to know what the dangers of mainstream islam are, take a look at countries with a islam majority. Now pick which one you would want your daughter to go live in. Answer should be none of them. Scan them for freedom of press, freedom of speech. Bad ideas based on the teachings of a pretty despicable character are going to inevitably lead to bad results. Freeze alert in Hades, I repeat, freeze alert in Hades!
