I think I would be more comfortable with someone doing this for me. Where do you go to find an investor who helps you do the business end of things and you just say I want this and this and here's my money?

Edward Jones, Scwab, or a little guy.

That was through the dealership. If it seems a little high, I'm going to look at refinancing it with my local credit union.

Bought a 2015 car about a month ago and went through my credit union 2.25 I believe is mine. If not that its no higher than 2.75. Credit union in my experience is the only way to go!

I'm all about the credit union for sure.

If and when you do start investing in the stock market do NOT check it daily. It will lead to rash decisions. Buy a stock you believe in and be long with it.

I'm just tracking along to see how it impacts my Acorns app. I like to observe, check everything out, etc. before I really go all in.

Acorns app update:

My first full week is in the books and I'm enjoying the app so far. I saved $32.78 in week 1 and made $0.10 from the stock market (+0.30%).

Most importantly though, I have a savings account started and can see how quickly that will add up during the course of a year.

My son called me today asking if I was familiar with an investment service called Wealthfront. I was not. Sounds interesting especially for investors getting started and/or who do not want to do much other than send in the money and let the advisors take over WITHOUT paying a big management. First $10k is managed for free.

Review of it I found.

..and here's some downside to think about depending on how you use them.

From the advice section...it's almost always a bad deal to order checks from your bank. I recommend looking into a reputable check printing service.

My bank was $27 for 100 checks. Walmart check printing was $6.70 for 150 checks.

Bet Kansas on the money line tomorrow for some easy quick money.

I get free checks from my bank.

Just curious how Walmart can print checks for you. I also pay $27 for checks at FEE Third bank (5\3rd lol lol). I know it costs them money to pay someone to print them but $27 is a bit high IMO

I haven't used a check in over 5 years.
We write one to church each week. And we occasionally write one to our kid's schools for various things. Other than that, we rarely use checks.
