NFL Refs forgot air gauges and kicking balls at hotel for NE game????

There was an apparent lapse in the hours leading up to kickoff at Gillette Stadium on Saturday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

According Scott Zolak of 98.5 The Sports Hub and Patriots Radio Network, the NFL referees forgot the kicking balls and pressure gauges at the hotel before New England Patriots hosted the Kansas City Chiefs.

 

The officials, per Zolak, then required an escort to retrieve the items before the 4:35 p.m. ET matchup got underway.

Why are the balls at the hotel? Shouldn't all of that stuff be at the stadium and kept under lock and key? The refs should have to go to the balls; not the other way around. JMO
