Spoke to a ref after the game and asked about that 2nd one.

He said it should have been called intentional excessive contact, but at that point NewCath was up a ton and Covington was the one hurt.

 

That should have NO baring on the call.

No I cannot because I have one of those cheap Walmart phones. Perhaps someone that is more tech savvy and has a better phone than mine could upload some of them. I was told by multiple people that the fouls were definitely "intentional" and in fact were so bad that the NCC fan base was struggling to stay in their seats.

 

There were only 3 people that could tell you "definitely" these fouls were intentional...none were in the stands.

Did not need the still picture to prove anything, heard it directly from the horse's mouth what happened. Love those that simply continue to try and sugarcoat it and say it is okay. Only takes one kid getting seriously injured from this nonsense and then you will have a situation that no one wants to have on a basketball court.

Let's break this down.....from my point of view.

 

1. I agree, intentional fouls. Covington DID NOT want Weyer to get the satisfaction of a "monster jam", you could see the foul coming a mile away.

 

2. I DO NOT think he should have been kicked out of the game.

 

3. Don't know the kid (Covington), but I think your comment is totally uncalled for. I did not agree with his play on the 2 Weyer dunk attempts, but that certainly doesn't warrant "punk" status.
