@Lawnboy13 how many 3's did NewCath hit in the 3rd? I lost count.

5 - 1st Q (Weyer 2, Hall 2, B. Anderson)

2 - 2nd Q (Weyer, Moeves)

8 - 3rd Q (Weyer 3, Moeves 3, B. Anderson, Ludwig)

Breds hit 15 for the game, B. Anderson hit 2, instead of one....corrected my opening post.

Oh please. #10 from highlands was just as bad.

You just keep burying your head in the sand dude. This is now another team that has dealt with the same issues of being hit with elbows from the opening tap. Just as # 10 from Highlands, # 44 did for NCC tonight apparently.

Weyer had to break-away dunks that were cut short bad VERY HARD fouls by Cam Covington that should have been called intentional. After the 1st one Covington was waving his arms back and forth and shaking his head "no". The 2nd one was worse than the 1st and Coach Dawn was not a happy camper to say the least. Weyer is VERY fortunate that he was not hurt.

Spoke to a ref after the game and asked about that 2nd one.

He said it should have been called intentional excessive contact, but at that point NewCath was up a ton and Covington was the one hurt.

I come back in less than a minute in the 3rd gone off the clock and notice it went from 10 to 21. They blew it open. Gonna be interesting when those 2 meet back up and Mullins is in Newport's lineup.

Who was Xavier there watching. Too little too late on Ben Weyer. I said earlier in the year that he was the best player in the region and that he certainly was a candidate for Mr. Basketball. All he has done is go out and perform and let his game do the talking rather than all of the other nonsense that goes on in games now.

Similar to everybody talking about the bullybirds.

Friends with a Newport assistant.

I don't recall #10 getting intentionally fouled like that, but if you say so...

Pretty sorry excuse used by the official. Since when does the score determine when an intentional foul is called or not? Weak sauce. You are just letting a kid continue to attempt to instigate things without being called on it.

My understanding is Ben was hit with elbows in the face area as was Hebel a week prior.

Never said he did?

Hey good to be talked about I guess right?

Remy Abell has been dating one of the NewCath players sister for the past 2 or 3 years, always Xavier players at NewCath games, and open gym in the summer.

However you want to take it.

No he got hit with a closed fist in the back of the head. Just love how we keep making excuses for poor behavior. Elbows to the chest, throat, chin area every time down the floor are meant as nothing more than attempts at intimidation and to try and start something.

Interesting. Didn't know that but that's cool. Newport has an assistant from Xavier as well.
