Mustangs drew off in third quarter after giving up a 30-25 halftime lead, as the Eagles tied the contest at 30s shortly after the break.

With the score Brossart 35, Fairview 34, the Mustangs went on a 12-0 run (which would eventually grow to an 18-0 run), giving the Mustangs a 47-34 advantage after three quarters and we never looked back.

 

Jackson Crawford led the Mustangs with 23 points, Jacob Zai put up 22 and Joey Hickman added 10. The Mustangs capitalized on a pair of Fairview technicals, where we hit on a total of 8 free-throws and benefited from the ensuing possessions. The Mustangs ended up with an 18/27 to 7/13 advantage from the charity stripe.

 

The Eagles who fall to 6-4 on the season, were led by Dylan Romine with 15 points and 300 pounder - Hunter Adams added 10.

 

The Mustangs will play the winner of Lewis County/Leslie County at 4:30pm in the Stultz Pharmacy Classic semi-finals at Greenup County High School.
