1a. Star Wars

1b. Harry Potter

2. Dark Knight

3. Hunger Games

4. Lord of The Rings

Obviously most of mine are books made into movies and I read both the Harry Potter and Hunger Games books but did not read the LoR. Perhaps thats why I did not enjoy the movies as much. I'm probably quite a bit younger than most of you all on here, so I would assume my list will differ greatly from your alls.

1) The Godfather

2) James Bond

3) Star Wars

4) The Dark Knight

5) Harry Potter

6) Lord Of The Rings

7) Back To The Future

8) Indiana Jones

9) The Hunger Games

10) The Hobbit

Honorable Mention:

1) X-Men

2) The "Bourne" Series

3) Rocky (Disqualified because of everything after Rocky II.)

4) Batman (Disqualified because of Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.)

5) The "Jack Ryan" Series

1a. Star Wars

1b. Harry Potter

2. Dark Knight

3. Hunger Games

4. Lord of The Rings

No James Bond?

Also, I think Guy Ritchie did an excellent job re-vitalizing Sherlock Holmes with the two movies he's done thus far with Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law. I would say a "series" of movies would require at least 3 installments to be considered an actual "series", though.

For what it's worth, I think I recall reading somewhere in recent months where one of the producers said they are currently throwing around ideas for a script to make a third installment.

Gonna assume this is calling for series in the "non-porn" category, so that will cut my list down considerably.

Godfather

Bond

Bourne

Alien(s)

Pink Panther

I did consider them. But I'm not going to lie and act like I've seen all the movies, so I didn't include them. I will however move Indiana Jones into my list and kick out LoR. I don't know how IJ out. Completely slipped my mind.

I liked the Dirty Harry series.

Star Wars (only watched the original three)

Harry Potter

Lord of the Rings

The Pink Panther

James Bond

Back to the Future

Mad Max/Road Warrior

Monty Python

The original 3 are obviously the best, but why did you choose not to watch the newest ones?

Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy

Back To The Future

Lord Of The Rings

Vacation/Griswolds

Naked Gun

Because by then I knew how it ended.

Pink Panther

Diehard

Godfather

Bourne

Bond

Lord of the Rings ( a close sixth place )

^ I always liked the Die Hard series. Which brings up one of the great movie debate questions.

Is the first Die Hard movie a Christmas movie?
