What are the benefits of joining the NRA?

Featured Replies

I know I could google it but I don't want to do that, I want to hear from our BGP members, what are the benefits of joining the NRA?

The best benefit is the sticker that says your packing. :D

There are tons of benefits but I will just name a couple, for now. To me the main benefit is that you are financially supporting an organization that supports gun owners and will do anything and everything to allow us our 2nd amendment right. Another thing, that most non members probably do not know, is they will insure your firearms, I believe up to $1000 per firearm in the event that any are stolen and a police report is filed.

So not only are you supporting an organization that would fight until bankruptcy for its members and gun owners in general, you are also getting an insurance policy without paying an insurance company. I could go on and on about some of the lesser benefits that members receive, but those are two big ones worth mentioning.

I heard the annual Christmas party at @Run To State's house is awesome! :D
:lol2: Hilarious!

But! Believe it or not, I'm not an NRA member.

Thanks, I didn't know about the insurance. What are the other top three benefits, I am interested in hearing about them?

Why?

Eh, no reason really. Years ago the company I work for paid for our membership but they stopped for some reason, I can't remember why, and I just never rejoined. I guess I'm just too cheap. :lol2:

There is also circumstantial life insurance included, I think it varies on whether you have a lifetime membership, Leo, and so on. I didn't mention that before because I would have to look for paperwork that has been likely been "organized" by the wife to give accurate info on that.

You also receive a magazine and other paraphernalia of course. But like I mentioned before the main benefit IMO is that you are supporting an organization that does everything they can to protect your right to own a gun.

Thanks JDE.

Free admission to the NRA convention.

2500 in firearm insurance.

5000 in life insurance.

Discounts programs for cars, hotels.

Police families get 25,000 payout if a LE member is killed in duty.

Biggest benefit is being put on a watch list alongside terrorist. But hey at least someone cares enough to watch you.

I'll voluntarily sign up for "watch lists" if thats what it takes to keep my guns. If someone wants to spend all day watching me, they must live a very boring life.
