November 30, 201510 yr I'm totally furious about how that all went down. I want to know whose brilliant idea it was to kick it when we were at the 4 with the chance to go ahead, ON THE ROAD. Absolutely horrible decision. If we're actually the 3rd best team in the AFC as the talking heads say, then the AFC is horrendously bad this year. I have not seen anyone put them third but did not watch the game yesterday, was that what the announcers were saying? Everything I've seen continues to be NE, Denver and Cincy as the top three with Pittsburgh in the next group of 3-4 teams.

It started getting mentioned here and there after Peyton went down for the season. I'm skeptical.

He gets a pass from the organization b/c he has a good history. I'd argue a lot of people would have a good history with those guys though. You didn't even think he mis-managed the clock when it was clear as day last time we talked about this. He almost always messes up the clock. The funny thing is the fake FG isn't even talked about very much yesterday b/c he kept on messing up after that.
November 30, 201510 yr Steelers are currently in 8th place in the AFC. If I'm a Broncos, Bengals, or Patriots fan, they're the one team with a realistic shot at the postseason I'm hoping misses out. Only team that could stop one of those 3 from winning it IMO.

Jeez, are we in grade school? Yep, Tomlin has warts when it comes to managing the game clock. He needs to hire an assistant for just that, or at the minimum have a heart to heart with someone who would have done it differently. I assume it's all on him and not a consensus. His poor decisions yesterday hurt their chances.
November 30, 201510 yr Watching the game yesterday, I thought the Steelers should have kicked the field goal. That's what I would have done. Plenty of time and your defense has stop them. You have to put it in their hands. As good as Ben was, I thought his poor passes were killers. Now the last one where Brown fell down wasn't. The Steelers scare me to death.

Ben was seeing crosseyed little animals at that point. Tomlin would have had to go with Jones. That may have played into the decision.
