November 30, 201510 yr If Steelers would have defended the pass on 3rd and 9 or if the receiver would have dropped the low throw instead of taking it for the TD....... the Steelers would have got the ball back somewhere between the 30 and 40 with two timeouts and the 2 minute warning down 2. Seattle almost played right into their plans but instead of incomplete it turned into a longggggg TD catch and run. Whatever. You take your shots when you've got them. I don't have access to the percentages, but I bet the Steelers' chances to win dropped incredibly dramatically when they kicked it with 3 to go down 5.
November 30, 201510 yr Worst game management I've ever seen out of Tomlin in that situation. I have to feel like Andy Reid wouldn't screw that up.
November 30, 201510 yr The story of the game was summed up when you saw Joey Porter's and Carnell Lake's reaction to his choosing to kick the FG. When 2 defensive coaches had the look on their faces like " are you joking? Our defense can't stop a nose bleed" I texted guru that it was over at that point. And it was. Tomlin with horrible decisions, from the fake FG to the poor time management with 5 min left, to continuing to play the single worst corner in the league according to PFF while you have a guy in Boykin on the bench who they traded for and he's played less than 20 snaps. Just a joke. Oh well, nothing like pressure. Need 4 out of 5 to get in now without help.
November 30, 201510 yr The Steelers losing certainly helped the Bengals. I bet they waited for this result before the flexed the Houston/New England game to SNF on 12/13.

However, I know each network is allowed to protect one game each week from being flexed. I'm fairly certain CBS picked the Bengals/Steelers as their protected game that week.

I'm fairly certain CBS picked the Bengals/Steelers as their protected game that week. Oh gotcha. Well that would make sense too. I have tickets to the Bengals/Steelers game. Part of me was excited for it to potentially be the SNF game. And the other part of me was hoping it wouldn't be.

November 30, 201510 yr Then I assume you'll be at Bengal Maniac's house for pregame? I would love to be, but my buddy is coming up from Fleming County for the game. He has the tickets for the two of us and our ladies. He's been talking about tailgating for months now because we got a few other friends going as well.

November 30, 201510 yr Don't believe this has been shared yet in this thread....Thank You Seahawks!!!

I would agree with the above, but also in the mix would have been the Bengals/SF Sunday night game. With the exception of Week 17 (rules don't apply), each team is only allowed 5 Primetime games each year. If the Cin/Pit game was going to be flexed to Sunday Night, they would have had to remove the Cin/SF from Sunday night since Cincy has 5 Primetime games already.

Well that one will be definitely be removed.
