As someone who goes to this thing every year to watch all 6 games, I cannot like your post enough. I have said it before, it needs to be a 3 day event. I would LOVE this.

Looks like everyone involved would want that, the city would benefit from two or three night stays, business would bet more traffic because fans would have some down time to shop and eat, the fans would have more time to see the sights and shop and travel the hosting city. Just seems like a bigger and better event to me.

Personally, I have always preferred two games on Friday, two games on Saturday and two games on Sunday.

I could live with your plan. I just think it should be a bigger, greater event for all the players and fans. No fan wants to sit though three consecutive games, and no player wants to warm up behind the bleachers. Make it an event, fans like to watch teams warm up, players want to warm up on the "big field" and have the full experience. Don't try to fit too much in one day and sacrifice the trip for the destination.

Bowling Green has churches. I have a friend that is an elder at his church, he loves going out of town on the weekends and visiting new churches. It's kind of like a hobby for him.

I agree but it's not like they are out running around doing crazy things. they are using their talents to play a game.

Come on, you know me better then that. The customers don't have control over the quality of ISP they have. Yea, they can complain, but it's still up to the provider to upgrade, and they upgrade where they have the most customers first. And, yes, there are normally multiple providers, but in many areas the quality is the same no matter the provider. You really are out of touch with the areas outside of the golden triangle.

 

Case in point, I am at work, watching the UK/UL Game on "My Dish", I can't watch it in HD because the bandwidth is not good enough, I am watching it in SD and it is grainy. What control do I have over that? Am I waiting on the government to give me something? Am I basking is self pity? It's the internet availability that I have. I have no recourse.

 

If it made financial sense for companies to provide all areas with high speed Internet they would do it.

 

So many people in less affluent areas have so much provided for them virtually free of charge they lose touch with reality.
