Stephen Curry season stats are:

34pts 6ast 5reb 2st

Curry is also 45% from downtown

Russell Westbrook season stats are:

27pts 11ast 8reb 2st

Westbrook is also a terrifying person

Steph is the best shooter I have ever seen in my life. He's playing at an unbelievable level right now. He has range from 35 feet. His handles are elite. He creates his own shot off the dribble like no person ever has before. He is a dynamic player and must see TV when the Warriors play. His shooting percentages are off the charts. 53% from the floor, 45% from downtown, 94% from the FT line. That is absolutely nuts.

Give me Russ. I want the dude who can give me 30 points, 8 rebounds, 11 assists and 2 steals. I want the dude who plays with an intensity not seen since Kobe Bryant. Russ would dunk on his mother to get a win. I think he does more than Steph overall as a player but Steph's talents and skills at the uber elite level they are at make this an awesome discussion.

Curry is more about shooting and strategy, while Russ is about athleticism and tactics. He's like a real life supersoldier. He tries his best to get his team involved while putting up points himself. These two players are neck and neck. Currys team is 12-0 while Russ' team is 6-5. Although when objectively comparing individual impact on the game, I'd take Russ. He runs the Thunder when Durant is out. The Thunder would have made the playoffs last year is Russ wasn't injured 20 games. The Warriors are 12-0 but not just because of Curry. Curry is a big reason, but the Warriors have great coaching and great shooters including Igi and Klay.

The Warriors are a very well put together team. Jerry West is that man.

I agree with you PP on the best shooter. Chris Mullin, Reggie, and JJ Reddick were my knock down shooters, but Steph is playing on a different level. His shots sometime barely hit the net.

Kobe would talk about Russ's intensity at an early age in high school. He would attack the rim in the UCLA summer league at 16 years old.

I don't want to choose, I want them both!

I'm taking Steph. He's doing things now that NO one has done at the level he's doing them, and he's a super threat from 3 that takes you out of your game trying to defend.

If you're asking who is the better player, I'll take Steph, but as a fan, I like the Russ Westbrooks of the world. The guys who seem a little on edge, if not outright unstable. A little bit of crazy is a crucial part of a basketball player to me because you know that he will run barefooted on glass shards through a flaming brick wall if a win is on the other side.

This pretty much say it all for me. I agree 100%.

I'll also add that this is why I love basketball so much. 2-3 years ago Steph was almost a bust because of his inability to play longer than 3 games without spraining his ankles and Russ was considered a SG playing out of position who was ruining KD as well as the team. 2-3 years later Steph is doing things we have never seen and Russ is now seen as better than KD by some people.

Who knew both Steph and Russ could take their games to yet another level? It has been so fun to watch them both.

Russ makes me scream and howl. Steph just makes me laugh at the stuff he does. Fantastic!!!!!!

@chrisPalmerNBA: 40-pt, 8-reb, 8-ast games this year: Russell Westbrook 2, Rest of NBA 0

These NBA talking heads kill me saying tonight what I have been saying for MONTHS!!!!!!
